Matt's POV: As I laid down on the couch with my arm around Gabby, I sighed because she just came back after having a bout of morning sickness. I did go help her with it but...I knew that it screwed her up. She felt horrible all day and I just didn't like to watch it was her husband. We are expecting our first child together. No future mother deserved to go through that. "Think your doctor could sneak you in today to get anti-nausea meds? I don't want you to have to go through that every morning Gabby. Also, tell me if you want to move back to bed."

Gabby shook her head. "No, I am okay here for now." I nodded when she said that before kissing her forehead again. That's when I heard my alarm clock in the bedroom. That meant it was 6:30 and that it was time to start shift. I didn't bother shutting it off because I wasn't going to be here. "Remind me to shut off my alarm clock okay? I forgot to shut it off because I wasn't going to be here over Christmas. It's my shifts." Gabby nodded and agreed. "I will. But you should just shut it off permanently and use your watch alarm. I want to sleep in a bit later than you."

I nodded when she said that. "And for when we have the baby. I don't need them being woken up this early. If we can hear it from here, that means they are going to be able to hear it from their nursery." Gabby nodded when I said that. "God, we are going to be building a nursery." I smiled when she said that when I felt her move to hover over me. Opening my eyes, I smiled at her before feeling her lean down to kiss me softly. "We have to make a nursery. I never thought I would say that." I smiled when she said that. "Not just make...build a nursery."

Gabby looked at me when I said that, obviously a bit confused. "What do you mean build?" I then smiled at her. "You really think I am not going to put my construction skills to use by building our baby the best nursery ever? One that was made especially for them by their daddy? Think about how nice that would be. It'd be built especially for them with love. It would be me putting love and energy into building something especially for them (and you)." Gabby smiled and nodded when I said that. "God, you are going soft Casey."

I nodded when she said that and smiled. "I know but...I think it's exactly what I should be doing. I mean, I am going to be a dad by the end of next year. I need to go soft so that I can play with our kid properly. But listen, can you do me a favor and get up off my chest? If we're awake, I am not going to stay here." Gabby then looked at me. "And why not?" I then sighed. "Laying down here kills my back." Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "Of course. You want to move to the bed again?" I nodded. "How about first I make you some breakfast? Then we can sleep in longer."

Gabby smiled when I said that before going to get off my chest. She then went to put her hand out when I shook my head. "I got it babe." I then went to get up and smiled at her. "See, all okay." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Listen, forget about breakfast for now okay? I am okay. It's still early and I'm not hungry." I then looked at her. "At least grab a snack okay? I have a snack bar." I then went to walk over to the snack cabinet and went to grab her a bar. "You may not want too but our baby in there will appreciate it." I then walked back over to give it to her.

"Here babe, just eat it and I think you will know that this is the right thing to do." Gabby nodded and agreed with me before going to eat the bar that I just gave her. She then went to grab my hand and smiled. "You are going to be such an amazing dad to this baby. I can't wait for them to meet you." I smiled when she siad that before stepping close to her. I then went to kiss her softly while putting my hand on her neck. Feeling Gabby hold me close as we kissed each other, I could help but smile when I felt that my shirt was a little wet. "God, you drooled!"

Gabby then looked at my shirt and bit her lip. "Whoops, sorry." I then nodded while going to take it off. "It's okay, I can just take it off. But right now, we should get in bed. We have a long 48 hours ahead of us. Between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we both know that you are going to be tired. Also, if you want to go to church...then you need to make sure to conserve your energy. I know that you are going to want to go even though it might not be a good idea in case you get sick." Gabby laughed when I said that and nodded. "You're probably right."

I then smiled at her. "It's okay. Listen, let's get in bed and relax. It's not Christmas morning...it's Christmas Eve morning. Maybe we can find a soup kitchen later since I have no plans for today other than church." Gabby then shook her head. "No, we are going to my mom's place before church. We are doing Christmas with my mom, Antonio and his kids today." I nodded and agreed. "Right, of course. Now, can we just get in bed and rest for a little while longer?" Gabby nodded as she went to get in bed after finishing her bar. "Come join me and we can relax."

I nodded and agreed with her as I went to join her in bed. Wrapping my arm around her, I smiled when I felt Gabby cuddle up to me. Tugging the covers up, I just smiled while I held her in my arms. "Now this is what I want to do every morning for the rest of my life, wake up with my girl in my arms." Gabby smiled when I said that and nodded, enjoying the feeling of my arm around her back, gently leaving soft kisses on my neck as we held each other close.
