Matt's POV: Once I finished making breakfast for me and Gabby, I smiled as I watched Stella finish getting ready while wearing on of Gabby's paramedic shirts. "The benefits of living with a former CFD paramedic." Stella then looked up at me and nodded. "Yep, get to wear clean paramedic uniforms. Not sure how clean the ones at the firehouse are." I then looked at her. "Believe me, they are clean. I always kept them clean in case Gabby ever came back and wanted to go for a ride on the ambo." Severide then looked at me. "Like Boden would've let you."

I laughed when he said that. "Boden loves Gabby like a daughter. He would have easily." Stella nodded and agreed with me. "Sorry Severide but, Matt's right. Now, you guys have a nice relaxing day together. See you in the morning." I nodded and agreed with her, smiling as I went to walk away to Gabby in bed. Walking into the bedroom with some orange juice and a couple plates, I looked at her as she sat up in bed with her hand on her stomach while she wore one of my t-shirts. "God, you in my shirts is something I am never going to complain again."

Gabby smiled when I said that. Meanwhile, I went to push the door closed with my foot. Once the door was closed, I walked over to her side of the bed and gave her the breakfast I just made. Gabby smiled when I said that. "This looks delicious." I nodded and smiled when she said that. "We can go out onto the couch later okay? It's still early and while we are going to eat...I want to try and fall back asleep after." I then leaned over her and went to kiss her softly. "We can cuddle on the couch again." Gabby nodded when I said that and smiled at me. "Sounds good."

Getting up again, I went to walk around the bed and then got in on my side with my plate of food. Seeing Gabby sit up, I smiled at her as I got in bed. Starting to eat, Gabby just smiled as she tasted the food. "Honestly, I have to say that I have missed your cooking. I should've stayed here that night I came to Chicago. Then...I could've had your breakfast when you left instead of having the hotel food. Honestly, it wasn't as good as your cooking." I smiled when she said that. "I actually wanted to ask you that. Why exactly did you not stay here at home that night?"

Gabby sighed when I asked her that. "I thought it would be harder on me. I thought I would chicken out and just stay. I know that's hard to hear but...it's the truth. I thought I would've stayed...." I then went to grab her hand and just stopped her. "It's okay, I understand what you are saying. You didn't feel like you were done yet there in Puerto Rico. Had you stayed here, you would've never gotten on that plane and you would've quit the mission. You didn't want to do that yet. Anyways, had you stayed here...we might not have gone as far as we did."

I then went to grab my drink and took a sip while looking at Gabby. "I wouldn't say that. C'mon Matt, I missed my husband. Of course I would've gone that far with you. It's just...I would've been scared to walk out the door again." I sighed when she said that. "Do you think maybe we can not talk about this? It doesn't really matter anymore considering you moved back for good." Gabby smiled when I said that and agreed with me. "Definitely. Maybe we can talk about starting some savings accounts." I was confused when she said that. "What are you talking about?"

Gabby smiled when I asked her that. "I want to start saving for this baby's college fund. I know it's early but...if we just put some money away starting now, then it's better than not helping at all." I smiled and agreed with her. "That's a great idea Gabby." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Yes. Now, how about we finish eating. Then...we can lay down in bed. We can take a shower later. Right now...I feel like I just need some rest." I nodded and agreed with her. "We can fall back asleep after we eat okay? It's still early." Gabby smiled and nodded, liking that idea.

Continuing to eat breakfast, we starting to talk (and laugh) about happier topics.
