Matt's POV: After following Gabby back to our room, I got a bit concerned. Walking in, I looked at her. "Hey, you okay?" Looking up at me from the bed she sighed. "Why did you think it'd be a good idea to bring that up when I am pregnant?" I sighed and knew exactly why she was mad. I made the stupid mistake of bringing up something that I should've known whould've scared her. "I wasn't thinking. Of course you don't want to hear about that while you are pregnant with out child. Just curious, we calling this our first child?"

Gabby then looked at me as I went to sit next to her on the bed. She agreed and nodded while putting her hand on my cheek. "Yeah, I think that would be an accurate description considering we've never had a baby before." I smiled when she said that. "No, we haven't." I then decided to go leave a kiss on her stomach to make her feel better. "Daddy already loves you baby." Gabby smiled when I did that and nodded. "And that is why I love you. You are going to be a great dad. Just need to work on biting your tongue more."

I laughed when she said that and smiled at her. "I guess I do. And I am really sory, you know that right?" Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "Hey, of course I do. I guess and just sensitive. The hormones are starting too." I nodded and agreed with her. "Remember during the first pregnancy? You couldn't sleep that well. At least we aren't going to have to deal with that this time. You slept really good last night." Gabby then stared at me. "Yeah, that's because you slept like a rock. I got up twice remember?" I then looked at her.

"Hey, then why didn't you wake me up? Gabby, I mean it when I say this...we are in this together. That means that you can wake me up whenever you have morning sickness. I want to help you through it." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "Of course, I'm sorry." I then sighed when she said that. "You shouldn't have to be. Gabby, just promise me that you are going to let me help you. I want to be here by your side whenever you need me. That's my job." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "Yes, it is. But the firehouse..."

I then looked at her. "We will tell Boden and he will know that I am going to be with you every step of the way. If that means I have to miss shifts, I am going to make sure that he knows that you and this baby are my priority for the next year." Gabby smiled when I said that. "By the way, I owe you a better Anniversary dinner than what we had. A video chat dinner is not good enough for my wife. We are going to have to celebrate another time." Gabby smiled when I said that. "Oh god, we are going to be parents on our next anniversary."

I nodded and smiled when she said that. "Yes, we are. But listen, right now...we are going to go out there again or are you tired?" Gabby then bit her lip and just looked at me. "Honestly, I know I just saw you maybe a month ago but...I still missed you. Sure we had time last night but, I would like to just sit in bed again. Can you make up an excuse and get them to understand we just want some time right now?" I nodded and smiled. "I don't need to make an excuse. All I have to say is that you missed me and want me alone. That's the truth."

Gabby smiled when I said that. "Just cuddling, no sex. You got that last night." I nodded and agreed with her before bending down to kiss her softly. "I love you and I am so happy you are home. Now listen, I am going to go get rid of our guests. Then, I am going to come in here and we can be alone. Maybe we can even look at new homes. We are going to need a bigger one like you said." Gabby then shook her head. "Not yet. I want to just hold you close and watch TV." I nodded and agreed with her as I got up. "Then I'll be right back."

Gabby nodded and smiled as I walked away, ready to relax with me (again).
