Dawsey: Starting a Family Part 1

Chapter 84

2 hours later when Matt wakes up from a post-sex nap:
Matt's POV: After waking up from my nap in bed with Gabby, I went to roll over to wrap my arm around her. I felt bad that I fell asleep after sex because that was in my opinion. I mean, I would think it was rude though. Then again, that always happened with us so...I shouldn't be that surprised. Moving to kiss her back, I just hoped that Gabby fell asleep too. And it turns out she did. "Hey you." I smiled when she said that. "We fell asleep after having sex." Gabby nodded. "Yeah, I think that's fine though. We used up a bit of energy and we got it back."

I nodded and agreed with her while kissing her back again. "That was fun though. It think it was the first time we've done it just spontaneously in a while." Gabby laughed and smiled when I said that. "That's what makes it fun." Gabby then went to grab my hand and played with my wedding band. "I am glad we are doing this you know...this quality time with you is what I really missed in Puerto Rico." I nodded when she said that before watching as she rolled over in my arms to move close to me. Putting her hand on my cheek, she smiled at me.

"Being close to you was always something I missed while I was there and to have you back is exactly what I've always wanted." I smiled when she said that and nodded. "Well now, you don't have to worry about that because you have me back for life babe." Gabby nodded and agreed with me as she went to roll over in my arms again. "Sorry if I am more comfortable this way. Guess I am just starting to be a bit more body conscious." I got worried when she said that. "Hey, you are beautiful Gabby. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Look at me."

Gabby then rolled over to face me again and wrapped her arms around my back this time. Putting my hand on her arm, she looked at me and smiled when her phone vibrated. I then kissed her softly and groaned. "Check it." Gabby nodded and went to roll over to grab it. Tugging her back against my chest, Gabby then got worried. I could tell because she got stiff. "Hey, tell me what's wrong." Gabby then went to get out of my arms. "We have 20 minutes until Cruz and Chloe are here. We invited them over this afternoon." I nodded and remembered that.

"I thought it was for lunch but thank god it's not until now." Gabby then turned to look at me while grabbing her towel off the hook next to our bed. "I am going to start the shower. Either you can join me or I can keep the water running." Looking at her, I smiled. "Go start the shower and I will come and join you okay? You are worried for nothing babe. In fact, how about I text Cruz and tell him to come tomorrow?" Gabby then bit her lip and was about to say something. "If you are going to rush to be ready for then, you are going to get stressed."

Gabby sighed and nodded when I said that. "I will just tell him to bring her to Molly's on New Year's Eve. Sorry but, we are going to go there to ring in the New Year. Plus, I am working that night." I then looked at her and was about to argue when she looked at me. "I am going to start the bath. Now, I can lock the door on my way in or you can join me." I then stopped her from talking and nodded. "Okay, I'm coming." Gabby nodded and agreed before going to lean over me to kiss me softly. "See you in a minute." Gabby then went to walk away to the washroom.

Meanwhile, I just laid back and smiled because of how great she was in bed. That was fun and boy am I glad that we just had fun. We are going to not have much of that in the future when we have kids. But hey, at least we are having kids. Can't wait. And another thing I can't wait for...my New Year's Eve kiss. Not just because it's our first New Year's Eve together in a while but...because our kiss isn't going to take place in Chicago. It's going to take place in the Bahamas.

NOTE #1: I do not know what to do between this scene and New Year's Eve so, I am going to skip a couple days. So, next chapter will be New Year's Eve right before Matt and Gabby leave to go to home and get changed to go to somewhere after a (reliever) firehouse shift during the day on New Year's Eve. 

NOTE #2: I know this trip was out of the blue but...I wanted to get them on Vacation to star the New Year. I hope that's okay.
