Dawsey: Starting a Family Part 1

Chapter 53

Matt's POV: After coming to join Gabby in the washroom, I smiled when I came in to see her standing at the counter with a towel around her waist. Looking at the pregnancy test, I could see a smile on her face. "If you are still questioning whether this is real, I can promise you that it is." Gabby smiled as she turned to look at me before watching me walk over to her. I then smiled while going to put my hands on her hips while she put her hands on my chest. Wrapping my arms around her more, I smiled as I went to lean down and kissed her softly. "I love you."

Smiling when I said that, Gabby went to step close to me and just laid her head down on my shoulder. Rubbing her back as I held her close, I couldn't help but be really happy considering all of the circumstances. I had my wife back at home in my arms, we were expecting our first child and everything was just perfect between us. Nothing could get any better because this was my ideal life. That's when I looked down at Gabby and went to kiss her softly. "You already start the shower? Because I can't hear it." Gabby then looked at me. "Maybe we can take a bath instead?"

I thought about it and smiled at her. "That sounds like the perfect way to start off our Christmas morning together. By the way, just be warned that I am not just wearing my boxers all day. While we are going to be cuddling in bed all day, I want to relax. Maybe I can wear my sweats again or something." Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "That's fine. I was going to wear sweats anyways. Remember what I said, I want to stay as calm as possible. And not that I don't love getting intimate with you...because I do babe, I just want to be safe right now. I'm still scared."

I nodded and understood what she was saying. "Hey, I understand completely okay? I am in the same boat as you. I am just as scared when it comes to this because I don't want to loose you. But, I also want this baby. So, I am going to do whatever I can to make sure that we keep you calm during this pregnancy. I want to go all the way. So screw what I said about me asking about an abortion and you having to agree to it...I want this baby so bad. If I ask for it, I am just going to be scared and doubting it for a bit. This is our chance to have a baby. I believe in us."

Gabby seemed shocked when I said that. "Can I get that in writing?" I nodded and smiled at her before going to bring her close to me. Kissing her softly, I smiled as we held each other close. "Just relax okay? We are going to get through this." Gabby nodded and agreed with me as we both held each other close. "Now, let's get in the bath so we can start off this gorgeous Christmas morning right. Then, I am going to make you some nice breakfast before coming back up here and cuddling up to you in bed. How does that sound?" 

Gabby smiled when I said that before going to grab my towel to take it off. "That sounds perfect." She then brought me close to her while I took off her towel. "Take me into the shower. I want to start off Christmas with a little bit of love okay?" I nodded and agreed with her as we left our towels on the ground. Following her into the shower, I smirked when I stepped close to her and then went to put my hands on her hips. With the water the perfect temperature, I brought her close to me chest and just kissed her slowly while holding her.

"God, I love you so much and I am so glad that we are going this babe. You are my girl and I know that we are going to do this." Gabby smiled and agreed with me as I held her close to me, starting off our Christmas exactly how we should start every day...with some intimate time in the shower.
