Chapter 15

Justin and I got really thirsty after walking through the thick sand so we decided to go to this shop where they sold various types of drinks.

We decided to leave our phones in the car since we didn't want to carry them

He looked up at the chalkboard where they had a list of the drinks and looked down at me "what do you want?"

I looked up at the list and then at the girl who was patiently waiting for us to order "I'll have a strawberry lemonade"

"Alright" she chirped, then looked at Justin for him to order

Once Justin payed and we got our drinks, we started walking down the hot sand, and directly to the water

Since I was wearing sandals, the sand kept on hitting the back of my calves every step I took, making me scratch my leg

After a while I got annoyed and took off my sandals which was a terrible idea

"Hot hot hot!" I shrieked and ran towards the wet sand

I looked back to see Justin laughing ass off. I rolled my eyes and walked towards the water, shivering once my toes felt the freezing water

"Burn your feet?" Justin asked once he was next to me

"Shut up" I chuckled and took a long sip of my lemonade, then took off my sandals near where Justin left his

He walked deeper into the water until his legs were covered, making me shake my head "isn't it cold?" I yelled

He shrugged "come over here, feels nice"

I hesitated but walked in a little bit further until I was next to him "Justin the waves are getting bigger, let's go back"

He looked down at me "scared?"

I finished my drink and shook my head "no, I'm going back to throw this away okay?"

He nodded and I struggled to walk back, because there were so many rocks I was stepping on

Once I found a trash can I threw it in and looked back to see Justin swimming back in the very deep with a few other guys.

Great.

I walked into the water and stopped once it was at mid thigh

"Scared to go in the deep?" I heard a voice say

I turned around to see a blonde guy with bright blue eyes "no" I mumbled, looking back to see Justin laughing with the guys

He chuckled lightly "Come on, let's go for a swim"

I bit my lip and looked at him nervously "I don't know how to swim" I admitted

He nodded "it's okay, just grab onto me and I'll take you to where you're boyfriend is, you seem to be looking over there in that direction a lot" he smiled at me

"He's my friend" I corrected and grabbed his shoulders from behind and felt him start swimming deeper and deeper

"There's a huge wave coming-" I stopped once I realized I didn't know his name

"Steven, and don't worry, I got this" he chuckled and started swimming towards the wave making me want to cry

"Take a deep breath" he yelled and I did, clutching hard in his shoulder and went underwater then back up

My ponytail came off and my hair was now all over the place "oh my god that was scary" I blinked away the salt in my eyes

"You okay?"
