Chapter 55

Justin

I stared at the girl in front of me. I haven't seen her big green eyes in a long time. Veronica was my ex-girlfriend, and we broke up when she moved. We never believed that long distance relationships worked, so we decided to just end it. We were so in love, and I was heartbroken when she left me.

We were together for almost three full years. I could hear my heart beating, "I, uh what are you doing here?"

She looked at Selena and gave her a smile then looked back at me, "My dad got a job here. So I'm back," She looked back at Selena, "Hi, my name is Veronica".

"My ex-girlfriend," I answered Selena's thoughts.

"I'm Selena," She said awkwardly.

Veronica was a kind girl, one of the many reasons I fell in love with her. I shook away my thoughts and stared at the love of my life, which was obviously Selena.

Veronica coughed awkwardly, "Justin, you have my number so text me so we can catch up on things someday".

"I deleted your number" I said quietly.

She took a pen out of her bag and ripped a small piece of paper. She wrote down what I'm guessing was her number and handed it to me.

I didn't want to look at Selena because I knew she was going to be mad. I mean, if I were in her position, I'd rip the guys throat out.

"Bye guys!" Veronica waved and walked away, swaying her hips.

I looked away and gulped. Selena probably caught me looking.

Selena

That was extremely awkward. I didn't even know what to feel or say. Justin obviously looked like he still had some sort of feelings for her.

Even though it hurt inside, I wasn't going to be mad. I can't control his feelings, "How long did you guys date?"

Justin looked surprised that I spoke to him, and he even stuttered a bit, "Three years".

I wasn't sure I wanted to know about their past love life. I stayed quiet and closed my eyes, enjoying the sun.

I hated her.

No I didn't.

She was a nice person. I hate the fact that I don't hate her. She didn't give me any dirty looks, and spoke kindly to me. She didn't flirt with Justin, even when she gave him her number.

"I don't have any feelings towards her Selena. I promise. I was just shocked to see her," He explained and I smiled at him.

"I'm not mad Justin," I chuckled.

Justin

She was scaring me. I wasn't sure if she was being sarcastic or serious. Who understands girls nowadays?

I didn't love Veronica anymore. The moment I laid my eyes on Selena, I knew I had to have her. Selena was the only girl I loved in my life.

Sure Veronica was beautiful with her long brown hair, curvy body, and laugh that could make anyone laugh, but she also had her cons. She was clingy at times, and would get mad if people didn't do what she wanted.
