Selena:
I was sitting on my chair, with Emily right in front of me, doing my makeup. I wasn't allowed to check myself until I was all ready.
We both ended up choosing the black dress because it looked "beautiful" on me. I guess it looked alright but I didn't have makeup on, my hair done, or heels on.
Heels!
"Emily the heels! What do I wear!" I said, trying not to make her mess up.
Her eyes widened for a bit, but then she sighed, "Your mom has heels right? Are you guys the same shoe size?" She asked, hope in her voice.
I nodded, "Yeah I'm pretty sure" I relaxed my tense shoulders and she went back to doing whatever she was doing.
After what seemed like forever she finally finished and ended up curling my hair. It didn't take long to finish my hair, but once we were done, I was going to look in the mirror, but Emily screamed my name and almost tackled me, "Don't look! Put on your dress, and in the meantime I'll look for heels" She exclaimed like a mother.
I rolled my eyes, but nodded, "The heels are in her closet at the very bottom" I said, remembering how when I was younger I used to walk in her heels all day long, almost breaking my ankle one time. I smiled at those memories and grabbed the dress.
It had a small brown belt, so when I slipped on my dress, I tightened the belt around my waist, making sure it wasn't too tight. I sat on the bed and waited for Emily to come back.
When she walked in, I glanced down at her hands to see some black heels. I've never seen my mom wear those before, but I shrugged it off and checked the size of the heel. I smiled when I saw that they weren't too short or too long. I slipped them on and stood up, being the same height as Emily.
"Can I look in the mirror now?" I asked, excited but nervous to see what I looked like. She nodded and I glanced at the mirror on my wall, looking at myself up and down. I wasn't a fan of heels or dresses, but I didn't look bad. I grinned at Emily from ear to ear, "Do you think Justin will like it?" I said, and she smirked.
"I'm pretty sure he's going to have his eyes on you all night" She smiled, looking me up and down.
Her makeup was pretty simple to be honest. I had winged eyeliner, mascara, and lipstick, making my lips look almost natural. I was glad she didn't cake my face because then I'd look like I tried to hard.
I checked the time and realized it was 8:48pm. I looked at Emily and opened my arms, waiting for her to come hug me. Once she did, I smiled again "Thanks, I don't know what I would've done without you." I said honestly.
She pulled away and grinned, "Naw, thanks. Now put on perfume, you have to smell good" She ordered. I nodded and grabbed a bottle that I got from pink and sprayed myself a couple of times. I set the bottle down and looked at myself one more time before I heard a car going in my driveway.
"I think that's him" I said, feeling my heart speed up.
She jumped slightly and clapped her hands when we heard the doorbell, "I'll get it, you come down the stairs looking gorgeous like it happens in movies, got it?" She said quickly before jogging down the stairs.
From my door I could see Emily turn on the lights, probably so Justin could see me more clearer. I chuckled to myself, she's making this seem like prom when in reality it was just a party.
I heard voices from downstairs and took a deep breath. I looked at my phone and decided to leave it. I didn't need money nor my phone. Plus, I didn't want to be carrying it all night.
