‘Oh Hermione! Are you as excited for tonight as I am?’ Ginny smiles taking an hold of Hermione’s arm after she caught up with her.
‘That’s probably impossible.’ Hermione chuckles.
‘It’ll be fun!’ Ginny says.
‘I hope so.’
‘Why wouldn’t it.’
‘Slytherins are coming too.’ Hermione says.
‘Your date is a Slytherin.’ Ginny states.
Hermione smiles.
‘But he’s different.’
‘Your roommate is a Slytherin.’ Ginny says.
‘Yes and that’s exactly my point.’ Hermione sighs.
‘Still fighting?’
Hermione shrugs.
‘I thought he was changing but then he just started yelling at me because of an article in the newspaper and I haven’t talked to him in a few days. I’m still quite pissed and you know me, I’m not someone who can stay mad at someone for long.’ Hermione says.
Ginny shakes her head.
‘Is he coming tonight?’ Ginny asks.
Hermione shrugs.
‘I don’t know.’
‘Is Parkinson coming?’ Ginny asks.
‘How should I know?’
‘Well she’s constantly pushing her tongue down his throat, perhaps he’s told you something before the fight.’ Ginny shrugs.
Hermione shakes her head.
‘Have you tried talking to him?’ Ginny asks.
‘I don’t want to try. Like I said, I’m still quite angry at him and if he wants to make up for what he did he can come to me and apologize.’ Hermione states.
Ginny nods.
‘Have you talked to your brother yet?’ Hermione asks.
Ginny sighs.
‘No.’
‘Gin! I asked you to do that two days ago!’ Hermione exclaims.
Ginny looks over at her best friend.
‘Are you sure you’ve forgiven him?’
‘I am sure.’
‘That doesn’t mean I’m okay with what happened, but I have forgiven him. We weren’t right for each other. We’re better off as friends.’ Hermione tells her.
Ginny nods.
‘I’ll talk to him when I see him.’ Ginny says.
‘Has Harry talked to him yet?’
‘I don’t think so.’ Ginny says.
‘Seriously!’ Hermione sighs as they pass a corner.
‘He’s been busy.’
‘With what?’
‘School and helping me.’
‘Helping you? What? Improve your sexual activities?’
Ginny snorts.
‘You could call it that.’ Ginny smirks.
Hermione chuckles and shakes her head.
‘Oh Gin.’ Hermione sighs looking back in front of her and then she sees Ron passing a corner up ahead.
‘You said you would talk to your brother when you’d see him, right?’
‘Ye-hes!’ Ginny says rolling her eyes.
‘Well there you go, I’ll go find Harry. Good luck.’ Hermione says pushing Ginny forwards before she turns around.
‘Hermione!’ she hears Ginny exclaim before Hermione quickly turns a corner, bumping right into someone.
‘Oh sorry.’ Hermione exclaims before looking up.
‘Oh it’s you.’ Hermione sighs frustrated before she turns back around.
‘Hermione.’ Draco sighs.
‘What? Are you going to yell at me again? Found something else to blame me for?’ Hermione says not turning around.
‘I’m sorry, okay? I’m sorry for getting angry at you, I shouldn’t have done that, it wasn’t your fault.’ Draco sighs.
Hermione stops in her track, making Draco bump into her again.
‘Sorry.’ he mumbles taking a step back as Hermione turns around.
‘You said what?’ Hermione asks, raising her eyebrows.
‘I said I’m sorry.’ he says.
‘Have you gone mad or something? Since when does Draco Malfoy apologise?’ Hermione asks.
‘Since he noticed he has been a huge arsehole towards you.’ Draco says.
‘Your words.’ he says carefully, giving her the smallest of smiles.
Hermione chuckles.
‘It’s okay.’ Hermione says.
‘Sorry for shouting at you as well.’ Hermione says.
‘It’s okay, it made me see the light…. eventually.’ Draco says.
‘So we’re good?’ Draco asks.
‘We’re good.’ Hermione nods.
‘Shall I take you to the karaoke night tonight? A part of my apology.’ Draco says.
Hermione gives him a small smile and just wants to nod when she remembers.
‘I can’t, I’m going with Blaise.’
‘I thought your date wouldn’t be happening anytime soon?’ Draco says.
‘Tonight is actually our date.’
‘Oh.’
‘But I can think of something else you could do.’ Hermione says.
‘What?’
‘You can sing tonight.’ Hermione winks.
‘No! I’m not going to sing, not in a million years.’ Draco exclaims.
‘Suit yourself.’ Hermione shrugs turning around again.
‘Okay! Okay, I’ll see what I can do.’ Draco sighs.
Hermione smirks.
‘See you later.’ Hermione says over her shoulder.
