The family barbeque was just what I expected.
People were laughing, and hugging everywhere I looked. Kids were running around playing or sitting close together eating with plates on their laps. And Natasha was in the middle of all waving and motioning for me to come over. Sloane stood close by laughing at something someone said. That was until she saw me, and the smile on her face instantly turnied into a scowl. Her eyes narrowed at me as I walked over to where Natasha was standing. I knew Daniel probably told her how I acted in the Salon, but I didn't give a fuck. I was mostly here for the food and because Natasha seemed sincere when she invited me.
"Hello dear." Natasha waved, and reached out to try to hug me which made me flinch. So she settled on just patting my shoulder. I sighed in relief, moving back to put some space inbetween me and her. "There's hotdogs, burgers, and there's pop in the fridge inside." Her smile was warm as I nodded and went to walk past her to go get a pop.
"Hey!" I heard someone yell from behind me. I ignored it as I continued walking towards the house, which was a medium sized green house with white shutters. Exactly what I'd expect from some like Natasha. "Hey! You." I stopped as I felt a hand on shoulder gripping me and turning me around to face them. It was Sloane. "What the fuck?"
"What?!" I glared at her, now pissed off she was in my way.
"That's my mom." She crossed her arms and stared pointedly at me. "And you're fucking being rude." By now a crowd of people had gathered around us, and it seemed like they were enjoying the drama Sloane was trying to create. All I wanted was to fucking leave.
"So?" I sneered at her. "So what?" She looked suprised like she expected me to back down, but I wasn't that type of person.
"So you can leave!" Sloane moved closer to my face, looking even more enraged than before. "I don't care how fucking beautiful you are, or how you act like you're above everything else but that's my mother. And I don't put up with bitches who disrespect her." I was already over this fucking girl.
"Okay? Are you done?" I was over this conversation, and she was being fucking annoying. "Because this whole thing you're doing here is pointless." When Sloane didn't say anything else I turned away from her to go back the house. Behind me I heard her growl, and then suddenly she was jumping on my back.
"Fucking bitch!" She yelled, squeezing her legs around my stomach as hard as she could. "I can't fucking stand your ass." Her fists punched, and slammed into my back as she continued to scream at me. It didn't hurt but it was defintely annoying as fuck.
"Get the fuck of me!" I threw her back on the ground, and she landed with an thud. Suddenly everyone around me gasped like I had done an unspeakable act as Sloane started to whimper in pain. I rolled my eyes and gritted my teeth as I walked away from the crowd to go back inside to do what I had originally planned to do. Behind me everybody gathered around her, asking if she was okay.
I opened the sliding doors that lead into the house, stepping into the cool kitchen and walking over to the fridge. Quickly I grabbed the first pop I saw and then slammed the refrigerator door shut. "Fuck!" I leaned my head back against the fridge, enjoying the feel of the cold surface on my skin.
I was sliding my fingers over his bare skin, which was surprisingly scorching hot despite the coldness of the room around us. The blush on my face wouldn't seem to go away as he watched me intensely and I moved closer to him to hide my face in the firmness of his chest. "Ace...stop looking at me like that."
"No. Fuck no." He reached for me, moving my head away from his chest so that he could look at me again which only made me blush harder. "Summer..."
