Chasing Sunsets

I celebrate my birthday with my friends. Nag chat ako sa gc namin at alam kong nabasa ni Juan yun. I don't really mind kung pupunta siya he's part of this friendship anyway.

Early dinner ang pinili kong time, okay lang naman na mas late since dito naman sila mag i sleep over. I also asked my parents if they'll allow us to drink alcohol and since some of us were already 18, okay lang daw.

Nag set sila ng iilang tables and chairs sa may garden malapit sa pool. Naglagay din sila ng mga bulbs na medyo dim.

Naunang dumating sila Iza and Mich sa bahay. They did my make up and we did some photoshoot para daw may ma i post ako. I just wear Boho off shoulder dress na may slit sa gilid.

Habang kumakain kami some my family and friends just greet me and tell me their wish for me. I am beyond thankful because I feel the genuine love.

I simply look at our gate hoping that maybe Juan Sebastian will come, pero nakailang tingin na ako don wala pa rin siya.

Maybe he's so faithful with Tin and knowing me and Tin were in bad terms, ayaw niyang pag isipin ng kung ano ano si Tin. Ang swerte ni Tin sa boy friend niya. Sana ako nalang yun. Kaya ko din naman siyang alagaan eh.

But maybe it's not really our fate. Sa tuwing naiisip ko na sana ako na lang pilit kong isinusuksok sa isip ko ang thought na "kailangan kong maging masaya kasi masaya na siya sa iba." I also read somewhere na "to love someone is to let them go".

My relatives, friends and family wish me, good health, success, happiness, love and many more. They also gave me some gifts.

After non me and my friends just set up a mini picnic tent and put some grazing platter.

"Let's get drunk tonight" Iza shouted while waving the bottles of alcohol were about to drink.

It's not our first time to drink, also it's not my first time. I'm an occasional drinker since 16 but then when my cousins started to enter legal age we sometimes drink when we're together. Elmer Mich and Charles were also occasional drinker while Iza is really an alcoholic one. He has the highest alcohol tolerance among us.

"Bakit wala si Basti?" Mich asked. Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Iza na dahil kami lang ata ang nakakaalam sa nangyari

"daldal mo babe" sagot naman sa kaniya ni Elmer

Iniba ni Iza ang usapan. I know he doesn't want to ruin the happiness but somehow I know that I have the responsibility to let them know because they're my friends. They've been there since the day Juan Sebastian courted me. I just didn't know how to tell them properly. I couldn't find the right words and if I'm not gonna tell them now, then when? I also didn't want them to know that from somebody.

I took a drink na inaakalang makakapag bigay sa akin ng lakas ng loob para masabi ko na sa kanila.

"Si Tin na kasi ang girlfriend niya, hindi niya na ako nililigawan" gulat silang napatingin sa akin pero ngumiti lang ako to assure them that I'm okay with it.

"Ha? Pano ka? Anong nangyari?" sunod sunod na tanong ni Mich

"Naalala niyo noong last championship sa bayan? Nanood ako non, kaso hindi ako makalapit sa may bench nila kasi madaming tao kaya sa taas lang ako. I don't even have the chance to give him energy drinks or water kasi walang daanan. Nakita ko din sila Chloe at Tin kasama mga friends nila and Tin were shouting how proud she was everytime na nakakascore si Juan"
