King Alexander's Point of View

I rubbed my temples as I came out of another mundane meeting with Alpha Sloan Winters. Alpha Sloan was a built man, his eyes were steel grey, which were covered with deep circles. These were almost masked with an overgrown beard smothered his face. I remember going to the Academy with Sloan as a boy, his appearance certainly changed over the years. He was always well-Kemp and well groomed. He always very confident.

Over the years we had brief interactions at Summits and there was never a reason to interact with him for long periods. He was very good friends with the she-wolf who murdered my mother and I found myself feeling sick with anyone who associated with that bitch, so would avoid them at all costs. Unfortunately, this has caused me to neglect my duties and as punishment this pack is losing wolves by the day.

I had occupied his office during my time in the Nightingale pack. My wolf was unsettled and frustrated during our time, he felt uneasy in the presence of the Alpha couple and he could sense something was wrong. The reports that the Alpha couple had prepared were filled with inconsistencies. There was a lack of care and professionalism composed in the reports that they provided.

The reports were around a young Omega named Clarissa. She had been raised here since she was a pup. Her parents were reported to be devoted pack members who respected the authority of their Alpha couple and religiously served their pack throughout their lives. They both passed away from illness about a year ago. Both were said to have passed peacefully in their home. They were found together in the martial bed by their pup Clarissa.

In the reports provided by the Alpha couple it stated that Clarissa was so consumed with grief she was disturbed and unsettled. It described her inability to interact with other pack members and she displayed traits of anger and hostility. The report indicated that she was unable to respond to commands given to her by her Alpha couple and she would become abusive to the Alpha's son and mate.

The Alpha couple reported that they sought the expertise of a healer in the pack to see what support they could offer the young she wolf and to identify whether there was a prognosis for her behaviour. The report from the healer stated that the death of her parents was the cause for her actions and that her wolf had overpowered her. The healer reported that she was becoming too powerful for her human side to control, with no treatment available. It was reported that she was a danger to her pack mates.

After this assessment, Clarissa was taken to the cells where she awaited trial for her actions against her future Alpha and Luna, but in the dead of night she disappeared. The guards who were on duty were unconscious with no recollection on what had happened. The Alpha couple were rumoured by lower pack officials to be furious, especially the Luna. She had reportedly destroyed furniture in the communal area, ordering trackers to find "the traitorous bitch." The trackers report indicated that Clarissa was missing and there was no scent to find her. The Alpha female was alleged to stewing for days.

Sheridan was the Alpha female, Luna of the Nightingale Pack. I had met her at a few meetings but again lacked any interaction with her. However from my conversations with her during my stay, I was unimpressed. Although she was very polite and courteous to my party she was rude and belittling to those in her pack. She would demand respect, rather than earning it from them and I could almost smell the fear lingering on the skin of the Omegas in the pack.

I quietly exited the Alpha's office, hoping that no one noticed my disappearance. I wanted to speak with those who interacted with Clarissa. I needed answers and I didn't believe I would get them from the people she served. I searched my surroundings seeing that I was alone as the Alpha couple had retreated to their quarters as it was before sunrise.
