Emmett's POV

Vincent's phone started to ring as I was talking to Viv about what I needed her and the others in her team to do once we left.

"Yes. Okay, stay and scope it out again until we get there," he commanded them and hung up the phone as I looked up from Viv at him. He stood in front of the waterfall. "They found the building," he said as I looked to where he was staring. "But getting there quickly and unnoticed with an army is our main problem. I doubt the element of surprise will be on our side for long."

I looked over at him with wide eyes. It was finally time but my heart started to pound at the thought of something bad happening to Sam there. What if we were too late? What if those dreams came true after all?

"It will be okay, Alpha. You will save them," Viv said to try to claim the pain that took over seeing Sam looking to me for help but I couldn't reach him. "All of them."

Her words wouldn't reach to claim me though as we gathered our man and Vincent took charge.

"We have found the Hunters' hideout!" He howled in excitement, grabbing everyone's attention as his eyes grew red. "And now it's time to take these fuckers down for making a mess of your city and your homeland, for killing our brothers and sisters, and take back those they have taken from us. Your future Luna of the Blue Moon pack and your beloved Beta of the Crescent Moon pack are in that place," he yelled to both my pack and his as even I felt the anger boil inside him like he could finally let out all the anger he was keeping within him this whole time. It had everyone else start to rile up with him though. They fed off his anger. "Let's make sure they remember who's city and home that was! Let's remind those humans what we wolf shifters are made of and why they feared us for so long!" He yelled as they started howls and some shifted, getting themselves pumped up with Vincent. "May our fallen brothers and sisters run with us one last time before they ascend to meet our Luna! And may Luna guide our way to save her children locked in that hell!"

They all yelled and howled a war song.

"Let's go get our family back," Vincent said to me in a growl as he shifted into a pure white wolf to join the half who were already on all four paws.

I looked at Viv and kissed her hand. "I'll call once it's safe for you."

Sam's POV

"I- I thought you were dead," I said, looking at Baxter like I was seeing a ghost. "I- I saw them-,"

"I guess they had different plans for me," he said with a smile.

"Why? Why didn't you run and let them just take me instead?" I yelled at him as the tears started to fill my eyes. "I told you they were after me, not you. You should be with St-,"

"You really think an alpha would run and leave his family member behind? You don't know anything about alphas," he said before sniffing the air. "But Sam... your scent... it's-," his sentence was cut short when the door opened and Doc walked in followed by three men and Davis.

Baxter growled, showing his teeth as Doc walked past us. His eyes were glowing red, not taking them off her once.

"Go ahead and try alpha dog. With all the drugs I have been pumping into you, you wouldn't make it two steps on your own," she said as she turned around to face us again, leaning against the desk on the other side of the room and looking at us with a smile. "Are you happy to be reunited with your lover once again?" She asked us.

I looked up at Baxter a little confused.

"Or is he your mate Samuel? I mean after that kiss in the alley and the way he tried protecting you, it was pretty obvious. No way you are part of the pack since I'm sure they thought you were human. I just had to keep him alive just for you. It is strange though, I could have sworn someone told me that alpha in the city was your mate judging by how badly he fought to try to save you not once but twice."
