Emmett's POV

"So, Emmett, the son of Revere and Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, shows up suddenly in my home. Did you get lost, young wolf?" Geo asked as he stood at the edge of the large building, leaning forward on his black cane.

He looked the same as when I first met him 15 years ago, when my father was the alpha, despite him being around his 60s. He looked like he was in his mid 30's. Clearly, he used some kind of magic to mask his aging.

His long black dreadlocks were decorated with colorful rings and feathers. His skin was as dark as the man before me, but he had a short braided goatee off his chin. He also wore a dark burgundy colored vest to show off his large muscular arms.

"I've come to ask for your help, High Priest," I answered, bowing my head to him to show him the back of my neck, giving him a clear view of my weakness.

The man in front of me let out a loud howling laugh. "Two alpha's in the last week asking for my father's help. How pathetic the Alphas have become," he hissed as I looked over at him in questioning, but his smug smile just made me want to punch him more.

"Hold your tongue Jeramy," Geo yelled before a black cloud of smoke surrounded him in a snap of his finger. I jumped back a little when the smoke appeared in front of me just as fast. Geo stood in its place as it faded away. "What do you want, Alpha Emmett?"

"So I'm guessing Alpha Vincent was here before me?" I asked, letting my curiosity get the best of me.

"That is between Alpha Vincent and I, now, isn't it?" He smiled. "What do you have in your hand, young wolf? Is that for me?"

I looked between his light, honey-colored eyes for a moment before I handed the folder over to him. "It is. I would like to offer you half of Greenery Forest. It would be divided between us, but you will have the half where your coven's old herbal gardens are. I was assured they were all still there, but would need some work due to aging and overgrowth."

"Well, well, well. It seems you would need my help if you are willing to give back with your pack stolen from us so willingly," Geo smiled as he looked at the folder and started walking towards the large building at the end of the road.

"I never said give. I said to share it. That forest is where we do most of our hunting, and many hold ceremonies here. It will become peacefully ground between us," I told Geo, walking next to him as he looked through the paper. He was shorter than I remembered as I had to look down to see him, but I have grown in the last 15 years.

"And what makes you think we would want the gardens back?" The young man, Jeramy, asked as he walked next to Mason behind us.

"Because they hold many rare herbs that can't be grown elsewhere. Trust me, I've tried for many years now," Geo answered him without looking up from the papers as he flipped through them. "Wait here, Alpha and Beta. I will have a few more eyes look at this and come back when we speak this throw. I heard you were a good businessman but forgive me for not trusting you just yet."

"I must say that time is extremely important right now, or I would have called to set up a meeting properly, but I will wait until you understand each term. Thank you," I said, giving Geo a bow of my head.

"I see. We will waste no more talking. Please sit." He waved his hand to the bench next to the door outside.

We nodded again before he walked inside. Mason and I took our seats and waited in silence for some time.

"Your father is going to be pissed when he finds out we are here," Mason said at least.

"Your the one who gave me the idea, and now you're worried about my father? He's not the leader of this pack anymore. I'm done listening to his so-called 'counsel.' Not after what happened with Sam. And as much as I dislike dealing with witches and being here, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have an alliance with them. The old Alpha's refused to see the benefits of having a witch's hand."

"That is true, Alpha, but you know shit will hit the fan when he gets word."

"As I said, this is my pack now. Times have changed, and if the Hunters are planning something, we may need their help to stop them. He can freely leave if he dislikes the way I rule," I said, looking him in the eyes. "It's not like we can go near the gardens anyways. It's just a waste to let them sit there and rot. I'm not stopping hunts there either. They took what they wanted, and yes, we needed it, but there could have been a better way to share the land, a peaceful way."

"I'm not questioning you, Emmett. I trust you and will follow you until one of us meets Luna. I'm just giving you a heads up," he told me as he turned his head up to look at the dark gray clouds above us.

The smell of rain hung in the air here since I got out of the car. I thought we would be caught in a storm, but thankfully, a woman came out and asked us to come inside.

She led us into a large room where the same elders who stood around Geo on the rooftop sat at the table with Geo in the mid. The pages from the folder were all spread out in front of them. Sticky notes were on some of the pages, but I expected that. We took our seats in front of them.

"This is quite a list. I just have a few questions, but we agree on most of them. We can deal with the foxes by putting up a barrier, your wolves can still guard it if you wish, but we can easily fix that problem there. We agree on these peace terms, but we will fight back if one of your wolves attacks first. Until we can trust your pack, we will guard our grounds when they are worked in, but they are not to attack first under my order. I hope you understand," Geo calmly told me.

"Whatever will make your coven feel safer going to and from. I agree, but my pack will be ordered to stay away from the gardens and not attack unless they are attacked first, as well," I told him as we talked about a few other details they wanted to add.

"Lastly, this curse," he hesitated, looking between the others next to him, before looking at the paper in front of him. "We will help however we can but don't know much about the Feral curse. It will take us some time to look into it and study a few things since it is so old. It's not something we can do overnight, but my coven's protection comes first. We also want the death sights of where your pack murdered our members, every single one of them."

"I will, personally, escort you to every sight, and the ones who are cursed are locked in cells under my packhouse for their safety."

"I believe not to judge an apple too harshly by its tree, but I hope you have your mother's honor and loyalty, not just her eyes," he told me before standing up. The others followed his movement and stood as well. "She also wanted to make peace before her death."

I didn't know how to reply to that. My mother died when I was born, so I never knew her. My father never talked about her either. I had to rely on others to tell me who she was as a person, and hearing that made me nervous. However, it was also nice to hear that we had the same goal at one point, even though we may have had different reasons for doing it.

"I expect you to come back with the changes we have discussed. We will sign it together to signify the start of our peaceful unity," Geo said, walking us to the door.

"Yes. You have my word, High Priest."

Don't forget to like this chapter and thank you for reading.

Herbs have many important roles for witches, used in spells and potions. Rare herbs like that could be a great deal of help to the coven and others depending on the potion or spell. Geo understands the high value of the land for his people and is willing to agree to nearly anything to get them back.

Alpha Munt tried for many years to get rid of them from the forest after he took it over but the witches' magic that had been mixed into the soil (in and around the gardens) for thousands of years is what protected the grounds and prevented these who sought ill will onto the grounds from entering.

I just hope they can come together and their people can all find peace with each other. It's also nice to hear a little more about Emmett's mother. They are a lot alike, which makes his father hate him all the more.
