Somewhere in a small hut in Tulsipur Village

Jaanti hu iski ijazat leni nhi chahiye mujhe, kyuki hak hai yeh mera. Parantu kya karu shadi ke baad mai akeli pad jaungi, halanki abhi bhi mai akeli hi hu, mama mami dete hai kya mera sath? Isliye aapko bata rahi hu, ki mai vivaah ke baad padhungi, bhale hi koi mana kar de. Yadi aapko yeh shart manzur ho toh ek handi roshgolla bhej dena, aur yadi nahi toh ek handi mirchi bhej dena.

Apki, nahi mere ma baba ki

She kept her pen away and looked at the letter she wrote. She is quite proud of herself. She rises up from the ground and ties her waist long pretty black hair in loose pleats and pulls a few strands out. She neatly folds her paper and keeps it in the adressed envelope given by her mama. She glances in the mirror once and dusts off the dirt from her saree and makes a run outside.

Whereas in the same Tulsipur, in a parallel world, in a Haveli,

A boy stomps out irritated with his Baba. He is once again using me for his selfish deeds. I can't marry Saudamini, how can I? I don't love her, she is my best friend and I have always looked at her in the same way. He sits in the car and asks the driver to take him to court. In the way his car stops with a jerk. The driver comes out and sees the punctured tire. Anirudh stepped out of the car and sees the empty road, with few children playing in the field nearby.

A postman was passing from near them

A postman was passing from near them. He sees a girl running in a great speed towards him. He was unable to see her face. She stumbled by a rock and was about to fall but the boy in a nick of time pushed out his hand and the girl falls on his hand. Her back was facing him and her front was on his hand. She straightened herself and made a run towards the postman before the boy could say something. She sat down on her knees being tired and raised the letter. The post man accepted her letter and he looked on. His driver told him that he has fixed the tire thus he sat in his car and left and she turned to leave. She tried to find the boy who saved her from falling and but didn't saw anybody.

She went back to her home and heard her mami screaming her name. She clutched her hair and went inside maintaining a stoic expression. Her mami screamed," Kaha thi tu? Tujhe kaha tha na kapde dhona hai. Kese jaa sakti hai kaam kare bina?" She clutched her hair harshly and was about to slap her when her cousin sister stepped in. She freed the girl from her mother's hold. She was Sampoorna, she was a good hearted girl who loved her dearly. She cared for her and saved her from her mami's torture. "Maa, kya kar rahi hai tu? Lag jaegi use. Maine hi use kaam se bheja tha, mujhe anar chahiye the, wahi lene bheja tha ise. Dekho yeh rahe." She lifted the basket with pomegranate and showed it to her. She already knew about the letter the girl had sent to her 'to be husband' and had already prepared for the lie if she gets caught. Her mother left the girl and she rubbed her head. She was taken in an embrace by her beloved Sampoorna didi," Kaha reh gai thi tu Bondita? Kyu karti hai tu aisa, yadi maa ko pata chal jata toh?". She just smiled at her which melted Sampoorna and they both left to complete their household chores.

On the other side the boy reached the court and was taken to his new cabin. It was his first day at work and he was pissed off as hell. He sat on his chair and tried to calm his mind. The door burst open and somebody shouted," Anirudh Babu, I am Back!!" Anirudh grinned at the voice and launched from his chair and took the other boy in a bear hug. They shared a hug and Anirudh forgot all his worries. It was Salim, his friend from London. Salim was skeptical about returning to India, his motherland, but Anirudh somehow convinced him and brought him back.

Salim sat on the couch and Anirudh sat beside him. Salim said wiggling his eyebrows," Maine suna hai mere mitra ka vivaah hone wala hai... Kya tum mujhe batana chahoge ki yeh mitr kon hai?" Anirudh again got angry and one could literally figure out fumes from his ears. He told Salim everything," Baba, sab Baba ka kaam hai, apne business ke profit ke liye mera vivaah Saudamini se karwana chahte hai. Esa nhi hai ki woh achhi nhi hai, woh bohot achhi hai, dil ki saaf hai, par mai usse prem nhi karta, woh keval mitr hai meri. Aur toh aur, mai abhi vivaah ke liye taiyaar nhi hu. Agle do saal bina kisi bandish ke kaam karna chahta hu." Salim had a amused expression and said," Par tum koshish toh kar sakte ho na tumhare vivaah ko safal banane ki." Anirudh scoffed and said," Tum toh jaante hi ho mai bharat kyu aaya hu. Yaha ki aurto ko riti riwazo ke bandhano se azadi dilane ke liye. Mai yeh nhi chahta ki jisse bhi meri shadi ho woh mera karan pareshaan ho. Yeh raasta itna bhi aasan nhi hone wala." Salim said," Par ho sakta hai tumhari hone wali patni bhi yahi chahti ho, uske bhi yahi sapne ho. Tum koshish kyu nhi karte usse baat karne ki, wese bhi tumhare paas koi option nhi hai." Anirudh thought for a moment and agreed to his friend.

On the other side we see a girl adorned in a heavy saree with heavy jewellery. She looked ethereal. Her long locks were dancing with the air. Her eyes were adorned by kajal, her cheeks and lips were painted with red colour. Her dangling earrings and chiming of the anklets indicated her arrival. She looked at herself in the mirror and said," Issh Saudamini, tumhe koi hak nhi itna sundar dikhne ka. Itne gore gaal, gehri aankhe, laal hoth aur lambe baal ho sakte hai kya kisike? Koi kar sakta hai meri sundarta ka mukabla?"

In the village side of Tulsipur we see Bondita in a light saree praying in front of two photos, they seem to be her maa and Baba. She had a pallu on her head. No jewellery, just a chain, which was her mother's, she always kept it near her heart. She turned back, her eyes were deep, without any kohl, her cheeks and lips were red without any makeup. She removed her pallu and her hair long locks flowed out. She was a hidden natural beauty.
