Anirudh enters the kitchen and coughs vigorously. He covers his face with his hands and looks at Thakumaa covering her face with a cloth and stirring something in the pot.
He looks over and feels nauseatic looking in the pot. He runs out covering his mouth. Thakumaa shakes her head looking at him. She turns the stove off and comes out.
Anirudh says in his high pitched voice, "Thakuma, yeh kya kar rahi hai aap?" Thakumaa says, "Saudamini ke liye hai, uska ilaaj shuru karna hai aaj!"
Anirudh's eyes widen in fear. He says stuttering," Yeh... yeh... Isme kya kya hai?" Thakumaa names few herbs as Anirudh's eyes widen even more if possible.
He says," Thakumaa hame yeh nhi karna chahiye, agar uss ladki ko kuch ho gaya toh?" Thakumaa scoffs and says, "Thodi Baat, Thodi Laat, Tabhi Samjhe Aurat Jaat"
"Usne meri Bondita ko dard pohochaane ke pehle socha tha? Usne meri bachhi ko pure gaav ke saamne apmaanit karne ke pehle socha tha? Usne meri Bondita ko apne pati se dur karne ke pehle socha tha? Nahi na! Fir mai kyu sochu? Aur yeh kadha hai, thoda kadhwaa aur teekha hai bass, isse kuch hoga nhi!" Says Thakumaa getting the glass full of kadha out.
Anirudh covers his nose with his hand after the sweet aroma of the liquid fills his nose.

Bondita arrives at the temple with Tapur and Tupur. She was sitting listening to the various stories told by pandit ji. She gets interuppted as Tupur comes huffing.
She says," Bondita didi, tere ghar se, jamai babu ke bhai! Unki Tapur se ladai ho gai!" Bondita gasps and runs back with Tupur.
She sees Batuk and Tapur standing, facing each other's back, their faces laced with anger. Som was trying to convince them to drop their anger and to talk like mature adults.
As soon as both of their gazes fall on Bondita, they run to hug her. Both of them stop as they see each other doing the same thing as themselves.
Tapur pulls Bondita's hand, making Bondita gasp. Bondita feels the tug on other hand too and her eyes widen looking at Batuk pulling her along with Tapur from opposite sides.
Tapur screams, "Chotte Zamindaar meri didi ko chodo!" Batuk screams back, "Nhi, mai meri Boudi ko kyu chodu? Tum meri Boudi ko chodo!"
They both start pulling Bondita, making Tupur and Som laugh. Tupur accidentally leans onto Som laughing, but awkwardly shifts away when she realises her mistake.
Bondita pulls back her hand and shouts, "Yeh yaha kya chal raha hai? Mai koi rassi hu joh koi ek taraf se khinchta hai aur koi dusri taraf se?!"
Both of them stand at a side, with their heads hung down. Tapur says whining, "Didi, yeh keh raha hai ki aap uski Boudi pehle ho, fir meri didi!"
Bondita looks at Batuk who smiles sheepishly and says," Hn toh kya galat hai meri baat boudi? Isse milne se pehle toh aap mujhse mili thi! Pehle aap meri Boudi bani. Aur phir yeh bhi keh rahi thi ki pehle aapka janm hua Das Parivaar mai, isliye aap pehle uski behen ho."
