Anirudh enters his study in a fury and immediately calms down on seeing the girl's letter. He smiles seeing it and writes the same letter in Hindi and keeps the one written in English with the girl's letter. He sends the sweets and the hindi letter with his driver as the address was of Tulsipur only.
On the other side Bondita gets worried on not receiving the reply. She goes to her room. She hears the honking of car but ignores it considering it to be of someone else in the village. His mama comes out and receives the letter and the sweets. He tells about the letter to his wife who gets extremely angry. She takes a broom and hits Bondita. She scolds her and said, "Kalmuhi, tujhme akal hai nhi na bilkul bhi. Agar tere sasural wale ye khat padh lete toh vivaah nhi tod dete tera. Woh toh achha hai keval tere hone we pati ne padha. Tere karan yadi sampoorna ka vivaah toot jata toh." Bondita didn't shed a tear and Bondita's mama came with the sweets and hid the letter. Bondita took the sweets as a consent to her letter. She gets delighted and happily claps and runs in her home. Mami smirks at mama who returns it with a evil a grin.
In the same Tulsipur in the Roy Choudhury Haveli, Kaka asks Saurav to announce it in the village that Anirudh is going to teach the villagers sword fighting techniques that he learnt in London.
Next morning Bondita sees some people talking about the sword fighting classes given by Barrister Anirudh Roy Choudhury. She had heard a lot about Roy Choudhury's and on hearing that he is a barrister she got curious. She decides to go and learn the sword fighting. She runs to her sister Sampoorna and pulls her inside a room. She says," Sampoorna Didi, woh Anirudh Roy Choudhury hai na, woh talwar bazi sikha rahe hai gaav ke logo ko. Toh mai soch rahi hu aaj kuch ghante mai chali jau sikhne. Tu mami ko sambhal legi na?" Sampoorna made a horrified face and said," Tu jaegi talwarbazi sikhne, yeh kaam ladko ka hai." Bondita face palmed herself and said, "Kaha likha hai talwar bazi ladko ka kaam hai, thoda agar atma suraksha ke liye seekh liya toh achha hi hai na. Aur kya Anirudh Babu ne esa kaha ki woh keval ladko ko sikhaayenge?" Sampoorna says, " Esa toh nhi kaha, par yadi gaav mai kisiko pata chal gaya ki tu talwarbazi sikhne gayi thi, toh tu toh gai." Bondita thought for a moment and said," Nahi, koi nahi pehchanega." Before Sampoorna could question her she ran outside. She comes back in a few minutes and shown the outfit that boys wear during sword fighting. Sampoorna gasped and said," Yeh pehen ke jaegi tu? Yeh kaha se mila tujhe?" She said," Ha, kisiko pata bhi nhi chalega, sabko lagega ki mai ladka hu, aur muh par kapda bandh lungi. Wese yeh maine pados wale ghar se thodi si der ke liye churaya hai." She ran out before Sampurna could say something. Sampoorna shouted," Mai maa ko bazar le jaungi, dusre peher tak aa jana"
On the other side we see Anirudh in the same attire which Bondita had taken. Anirudh was guiding all the boys and villagers that had come. He saw a boy who looked weaker than the others and was unable to fight. He had his face covered. She is Bondita who has disguised herself as a boy. Anirudh goes behind her and teaches her how to face the opponent without fear. He shows her some tactics of using sword. Anirudh tells her to attack him without getting afraid. While doing so Bondita falls down, Anirudh tells her to get up and teaches her. He feels strange after touching her hand. Bondita starts running out of fear of get her identity revealed. Anirudh chases her and cuts her back with sword by mistake. Bondita gets hurt and runs because her turban had loosened and can fall anytime now.
Anirudh stops Bondita from running and applies haldi on her wound. He says she should treat her wound. He again feels strange on touching her back. Bondita squirms on feeling a man's touch on her bare back and due to the movement her turban fall off. Anirudh moves back on knowing that the boy he was teaching was a girl. He says," Kon ho tum? Yaha kya kar rahi ho ladkon ke beech?" Bondita covered her face and turns back to face him. She says, "Kyu, aap bhi yahi sochte hai ki talwaar bazi ladkon ka khel hai, agar esa hai, toh yeh galat hai. Kya ladkiyon ko itna bhi adhikaar nhi ki apni raksha ke liye woh talwar bazi sikh sake." Anirudh felt happy on listening to her words. He remembered the letter girl and was about to appreciate the girl standing in front of him. Bondita sees the time on wall clock knowing that it was near the second hour, she he ran back to her house without listening to Anirudh. Anirudh looked at her startled and shouted," Haldi laga lena". She showed him a thumbs up without turning back and Anirudh chuckled on seeing her.
Anirudh returns back home and sees Saurav giving an invitation card to his Kaka to come to the wedding. Kaka gently denied his presence because of the caste difference but Anirudh interupts and promises his presence in his friend's wedding.
On the other side Bondita reaches home on time and changes back into her clothes. She tells Sampoorna whatever happened and Sampoorna dresses her wound. Sampurna tells her that it might leave a scar for a month or so. Thus she needs to be careful that nobody sees it. Bondita nods.
Bondita sleeps preparing herself mentally for the new journey she is about to start from the day after.
Anirudh moves to his cupboard and chuckles seeing the letter again and sleeps thinking about the girl he met the same day.
Whereas Saudamini slept after being excited about her engagement.
All of them sleep peacefully unaware of the turns their lives were going to take the next day!
