15. The Adventurous Night💕

Anirudh was sleeping when he felt a kick on his abdomen. He sees Bondita sleeping diagonally on the bed. Her legs were on Anirudh's side. She had accidentally kicked him in sleep. Her blanket was also on the floor. He gets up and makes her straight. He puts the blanket on her and sleeps again. He sleeps but after some time wakes up to due to lack of space. He opens his eyes and sees Bondita sleeping on his side. He was lying on almost the edge of the bed. He again shifts her and tries to sleep. He lays down and feels a punch on his stomach. He groans and looks at his wife. He again shifts her and sleeps. He was sleeping soundly but wakes up on feeling his neck muscles straining and extreme pain in his shoulder and back. He opens his eyes and finds himself tumbled on the floor.

Bondita wakes up on the sound and realises that she was on her pati babu's side of bed. She looks here and there and sees her Pati babu on floor. She realises that she was the reason he was on floor. She climbs out of bed and helps him to stand up. He groans in pain and Bondita looks at him tensed. She says," Sorry sorry pati babu. Woh mai itne dino baad bistar par soi na. Isliye thoda zyada ho gaya. Sorry sorry." He looks at her and says," Tumne mujhe pehle kyu nhi kaha ki tum neend mai maarti bhi ho. Aaahh..." Bondita looks at him and says," Ha woh mai thoda neend mai ghumti toh hu...." He says," Thoda??" She says," Ha wahi, woh kya hai na, meri bistar par sone ki aadat chut gayi. Mai Calcutta mai thi na, tab hum bistar par sote the, tab mai itna nahi ghumti thi, par jab mai Tulsipur aayi toh ham zameen par sote the toh aadat chut gyi thi."

Anirudh picks up his pillow and comforter and goes to the couch stumbling. He had fallen twice while sleeping, that too at the same night. Bondita holds his hand and says," Pati babu, aap kaha jaa rahe hai, so jaaiye na bistar par, mai pakka nhi marungi. Aap nhi so payenge waha, apko wese hi lag gayi hai". He looks at her and says, "Thik hai."

Anirudh wakes up in the morning to see her wife sleeping soundly on her part of the bed. He looks at the time and sees that Bondita is not awake till now and Kaka will be furious if he finds out that the Roy Choudhury Bahu is still sleeping. He tries to wake her up but she sleeps back after groaning. He remembers that the doctor had given her pain relief medicine which had the sleeping drugs too. The doctor informed him about it. He lets Bondita sleep and gets ready.

Anirudh moves downstairs and sees Kaka sitting on the couch fuming. He goes to him and Kaka bursts out," Bondita Bahu kaha hai? Abhi tak uthi nhi? Shubhra bhi nhi hai." Anirudh says," Woh Kaka...." And is interuppted by Saudamini who enters the haveli. She says exaggerating," Bondita abhi tak nhi uthi, hey dugga ma, Roy Choudhury Haveli ki choti malkin ki subah nhi hui abhi tak. Sooraj sar chad aaya, hey dugga maa. Kaka yadi gaav mai yeh baat kisi ko pata chal gai toh log kya kahenge? Rukiye mai jaakar uthati hu usko."

Anirudh interupts her and says," Kaka, Bondita ko joh dard ki dawa di thi, usme neend ki bhi dawai hai. Mujhe doctor ne iske baare mai bataya tha." Trilochan looks at Saudamini and says," Suna tumne, Tumhe bachane ke liye joh hamari Bahu ne apne haath jala liye, uske dard ko kam karne ki dawa ke karan Roy Choudhury Haveli ki choti malkin so rahi hai." Saudamini fumes and then fake smiles and says," Achha, fir thik hai, laiye mai subah ki pooja kar deti hu. Shubhra Kaki bhi nhi hai na." Trilochan gets angry and says in a loud voice," Hamari ghar ki pooja hum kar lenge. Bahari logo ko aakar karne ki zarurat nhi hai. Tum jaa sakti ho." Anirudh tries to ask kaka to be polite but instead he glares at him and Anirudh zips his mouth. Saudamini leaves fuming.

Bondita cuddles in her bed and flutters open her eyes. She looks around and sees her room full of sunlight. She wakes up with a jerk and sees the watch. She realises that she slept for more hours than she usually sleeps and runs to the bathroom. She hits her head on the gate and frowns. She gets done with her morning business and wonders how to get ready.

Downstairs, after the aarti, Sampoorna comes to Roy Choudhury Haveli with Saurav. She touches the feet of elders and says," Woh bade Malik maine suna Bondita.... Choti malkin ke haath jal gaye hai, toh mai unki madad kar du. Isliye aa gai." He asks her to go to Bondita's room. Bondita's face gets lit seeing her sister to her rescue.

Sampoorna drapes Bondita's saree and makes her sit to get her ready. Anirudh knocks their room before entering. He goes to the cupboard to fetch some of his files. Sampoorna says while combing Bondita'd hair," Bondita kal raat ko kisne pehnayi tujhe saari? Jitna mujhe pata hai, Koyeli didi toh jaldi shaam ko chali jati hai." Bondita could feel the heat rise up to her cheek and Anirudh looks at them with wide eyes. Bondita looks at him through the mirror and Sampoorna notices the glances exchanged by the couple. She coughs and says teasingly," Bondita, tu mujhe bata sakti hai agar tere pati Babu ne tujhe saari pehnayi. Usme koi badi baat nahi hai, par baat agar uske baad, uske karan aage badhi ho toh, fir shayad..." Anirudh leaves the room hurriedly and Bondita glares at her sister.

Sorry Guysss for the late update. I haf my 18th Birthday on 12 Nov, thus was way too busy. Also A Happy Children's Day to every kid in all of us.!
