Bondita with the help of Bihari Babu brought a cat in the house. She knew how badly Anirudh hated cats. Anirudh disliked pets as they created a lot of mess and made the house dirty, but he was scared of cats or even more, he was terrified of cats. Same was the case with Bondita, she also had a dislike towards pets but she was terrified by dogs.
Bihari keeps the cat in the basket and hides it with a cloth. He gives Bondita a thumbs up and she returns it with a victorious grin. She had planned on leaving the cat in her Patibabu's study when he returns home.
She was working in the kitchen with her Shubhra maa, when she heard her ksj's shout. She runs outside and sees her cat chasing a mice. She saw the mice run towards her and Bondita being terrified of the rats screamed and ran in the hall.
She runs towards her Ksj and hid behind his back, both were screaming and running on seeing the cat and mice running around. Binoy came running and laughs out loud looking at the ruckus created.
At the same time, Batuk comes back home with a small dog. The dog on seeing the cat leaps and runs behind the cat. On seeing the dog, Bondita gets even more terrified and screams out loud.
She goes and hides behind Binoy. Binoy gets stunned and calls out the one who was hiding behind him and trying to peak and look," Bondita.... Bondita.... Kya kar rahi ho??? Hato piche se...." Bondita calls out Binoy, her voice slow and laced with fear," Baba, baba mujhe bacha lijiye..." Binoy stops at his place hearing her call him baba.
Binoy and Shubhra always wanted a daughter after Anirudh, but then Som was born, after that Batuk, after that Shubhra had become weak to carry a baby. They loved Som, Batuk and Anirudh equally, but always desired a daughter who can make them run with her tantrums. Who can love them and also scold them with full rights. A place for a daughter always remained void in his heart.

Today, after so many years, that void of his heart yearned again for a daughter when Bondita called him Baba. Seeing Binoy standing quiet she realised her mistake and removed her hands which were clutching his coat from behind. She held her ears and slowly said sorry. Binoy looked on.
Bondita then sees the dog coming towards her and she ran back in the main hall. She climbs the sofa and the mice jumped on it too. She ran on the sofa screaming. Shubhra was laughing seeing the ruckus created by her family.
Trilochan runs as the cat ran behind him and the dog ran behind the cat. He called out Bihari," Bihari, murkh, baju mai kya khada hai, pakad inhe, Batuk pakdoooo." Som comes back from the college and laughs seeing the scene, he sees his Baudi running on the sofa with a mice behind her. His Kaka running in the corridors followed by the cat, dog, Bihari and Batuk respectively.
Trilochan grabs his stick and points it towards the animal. He tried to shush it away, but they weren't even moving an inch. Bihari goes behind his Malik and says," Malik uthaiye!!!" Trilochan says irritated," Kese uthaye bailbuddhi, dekh nhi raha kese bhonk raha hai woh kukur." Bihari says slowly," Malik kukur nhi, Aapki Dhoti." He gathers his open dhoti and runs.
