Anirudh turns back with his eyes close. He tries to move near Bondita but his leg hits a table and he stumbles. Bondita goes to him and forwards her forearm for support. She says," Dheere, kya kar rahe hai aap, chaliye dheere dheere aage aaiye." He moves forward and they stand in front of the mirror. She says," Ab haath aage badhaiye" He forwards his hand and places it on her tummy. He feels the bare skin of her tummy and withdraws back his hand in awkwardness. She says irritated," Agar isi tarah aap sharmate rahenge toh kal tak mai saree nhi pehen paungi."
He takes a deep breath and again forwards his hand. He slides down his hand down her tummy. His hand brushes her navel. Bondita could slowly feel the butterflies erupt in her stomach. As he was proceeding down, Bondita's eyes closed as a reflex. She was lost in her own world. Anirudh's condition was no different. He was feeling the electricity run down his spine. He reached the hem of her skirt and called out Bondita, his voice heavy," Bondita? Ab kya?" Bondita was in her world, she utters out of confusion," Huhh?". He says again," Ab aage kya?" She feels flustered and feels her cheeks getting warm. She tells him to find the corner of the saree and tuck it in her underskirt as she turns around. His hand brushes through her waist as he tucks in her saree. Bondita was feeling weird sensations erupting in her body and Anirudh's condition was no different.
He stands up to fold the pleats of Saree as told by Bondita. He slowly folds the pleats and moves a little to check them. But instead he gets entangled in the saree and Bondita gets pulled. They both fall on bed. Anirudh opens his eyes on a jerk. Bondita's open hair scatters on his face. He slowly removes the strands from his face and tuckes her hair back on her ear. He gently holds the nape of her neck and out of reflex she leans onto his touch. He moves his thumb on her cheek gently. The pallu was long gone to the floor. Bondita was in a half tucked saree fallen on her husband who was as handsome as Adonis. If anybody would have seen them like this, they would have definitely thought that they were doing romance.
On the other side Saudamini stands in her Balcony with her binoculars. She looks in Anirudh's room through his window. She was shocked to witness the scene in front of her. It made her eyes wide as saucers. She got crazy.
On another side Anirudh and Bondita were taking in the moment, unknown to themselves, they felt a pull towards each other. They were in their sweet moment when they heard something bang. Their reverie broke and they abruptly stood up. Bondita adjusted her pallu and Anirudh rushed to the window. He saw a stone that has come to his room. The window was open or else the glass window might have broken.
Bondita went towards the window and saw nobody was there. She closed the window and sat on the bed. Anirudh looks at the stone suspiciously. She says, "Pati babu, kya hua? Aap kya dekh rahe hai?" Anirudh says," Yeh kisne feka hoga hamare kamre mai?" Bondita comes to him and says,"Bandar hoga". Anirudh looks at her and says," Bandar?". "Ha aur, kya? Aur koi kyu fekega hamare kamre mai pathar? Maine kal raat ko bhi dekhe toh do Bandar. Ya ho sakta hai upar chapre se gir gaya ho pathar." She says shrugging.
He looks at the stone and says, "Par ese kese". She says," Kitna sochte hai aap? Ek toh aapne puri saari khol di meri. Ab firse aap hi pehnaye." Anirudh looks at her with wide eyes. Bondita looks at him and then bites her tongue. She realises that whatever she said sounded very wrong. Her cheeks turn red and she turns her face away. Anirudh breaks into fits of laughter. Bondita frowns and blows up her mouth. He comes in front of her and pokes her cheeks. She glares at him and he laughs more. She smiles slightly looking at him laughing. He says," Bondita, tumhe gussa karna bhi nhi aata na?" Bondita smiles again. Bondita says," Ab hasna band kijiye aur yeh saree pehna dijiye. Aur iss baar ankhe khuli rakhna. Aapko pata bhi nhi hai aapke aankh band karne ke karan mujhe kesa mehsoos hua." She murmurs the last part. He drapes the saree trying not to feel the same giddy feeling this time.
Bondita goes to the couch and Anirudh looks at her folding his hands near his chest. He says sternly," Kya kar rahi ho waha? Chot lagi hai tumhe. Tum so jaao bistar par, mai so jaaunga couch par." Bondita laughs and says," Aap soyenge yaha, yaha fit bhi nhi ho payenge, sona toh door ki baat hai. Aap so jaaiye bistar par mai yaha aaram se so jaungi ". Anirudh says," Nahi mai fit ho jaunga, tum jaao bed par." Bondita tries to deny but he warns her that if she doesn't go to the bed, he might pick her and tuck her in the bed. Bondita obeys him and goes to the bed.
At midnight Bondita wakes upto a loud falling sound. She turns on the light and sees her Pati Babu on floor yelping in pain. She laughs out loud clutching her stomach. She says," Jis baat ka mujhe dar tha wahi hua." She laughs again. Anirudh says irritated," Ab hasti hi rahogi ya meri madad bhi karogi" . Bondita helps him through her forearm. He gets up and rubs his back. He moves his neck in pain and Bondita says," Aap so jaiye bistar par, mai yaha so jaungi." He says," nhi Bondita, tum so jao, mai niche so jaunga." Bondita says," Nhi, bilkul nhi. Aap niche nhi soyenge. Jab kamre mai itna bada bistar hai toh aap niche kyu soyenge. Aap chahe toh hum ek bistar par so sakte hai." He looks at her startled. She says," Mera matlab hai agar ham dono alag alag kone par bhi soye toh do log aur so sakte hai hamare saath." He nods and shifts onto the bed. Bondita sleeps facing the ceiling and he sleeps facing his back to Bondita.
