Chapter 29 

Distance 

I didn't believe on destiny even before when I am still a child I never think of that word because for me I only know is to dream that even everything is hard I will still choose to dream but the word destiny never cross my mind. 

Why would I believe in destiny when I didn't need for me to wait for my own destiny dahil alam ko na kaya ko namang gumawa ng sarili kong tadhana by my own hardwork. 

But that was before because after meeting Michael I started to think that it's my own destiny the kind of destiny na hindi ko hiniling at hindi ko kailangang paghirapang kunin at abutin because it just came all of a sudden. Dumating siya sa buhay ko ng hindi ko pinaplano and after knowing who is his mom mas lalo na akong naniwala. 

From the very start we are destined to meet and that start when I meet his mom. His mom that become the reason why I realized what my dream was. Yung babaeng nagpagising sa pangarap na gusto kong abutin in the future at tuwing maalala ko na nagkrus na pala ang landas namin noon ni Michael ng pareho naming hindi nalalaman I can't help but to be happy on how the world is so small for us. 

After meeting each other unknowingly we meet again in New York nang maligaw ako and I saw him looking sad and problematic at yun ang unang beses naming magka-usap and that is also the time na nakilala namin ang isa't isa as Chandria and Landon. 

Yung buong akala ko na hanggang doon na lang yun hindi naman pala because we met again when I was just looking for someone that can help me to portray my character well on my first movie. We didn't actually met but we talk again and that lead us to meeting each other again because he wants to say thank you to me for saving him from grief and sorrow that night. 

When he stop talking to me after my first movie akala ko talaga doon na lang yun but I am wrong because I saw him in front of me and introduced himself to me and that is the start of what we have now. Yun ang isa sa dahilan why we fall to each other. 

Bago pa man kami dumating sa sitwasyon where he can court me alam kong madami munang nangyari before we felt the happiness before we choose to risk for each other. Dumating pa sa punto na we already said good bye just to save each other from our own world. 

Pero iba talaga siguro kung ang tadhana na ang may gawa dahil hindi mo siya makakalaban kahit anong gawin mo and you just need to is to follow and that is what we are doing now. 

"Chantal, what is really your plan to your relationship with Michael? I am just asking, anak. I really like that man for you and I can also see to you how in love you are to him, I am just curious what is your plan now that you only have a week left here." Mommy asked when we are eating dinner at a one of famous restaurant in NYC. 

"At first I am really scared, Mom. You know my work. In my field there is people eyeing me like they don't want me to do something they will not like. I am living with the judgement of people because once na hindi nila magsutuhan ang gusto ko they will throw hate at me and that is okay with me dahil sanay naman na ako but not to Michael. Hindi ko ata kaya yun he tried so hard not to be involved in anyone's light ayoko naman na ako ang maging dahilan for people to drag his name na hindi naman dapat." Mahabang sabi ko and I saw my mom nod like she really understand what I am really saying. 

"I know that but looking at Michael he is willing to risk everything for you even madamay pa siya sa ilaw na meron ka because looking at him it looks like you are his light." Mommy said and I can't help but to smile about that. 

Am I really? 

"So what is really your plan?" Mom asked again na parang gusto talagang malaman kung ano ang balak ko kay Michael ngayon kaya natawa na lang ako. Both of my parents are already into Michael parang hindi na sila tatanggap pa ng kahit sinong lalaki para sa'kin kung hindi si Michael na lang.
