CHAPTER 63

JUNGKOOK's P.O.V.

"Jungkook-ah! What are you waiting for? The service is already waiting at the parking lot. Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi and Hoseok went ahead while Jimin and Taehyung are waiting for you downstairs." I looked up from staring at my phone to Manager Sejin who entered my suite without me noticing it. "Hyung," I mumbled. "Is there a problem?" He asked curiously as he look over the phone in my hand. I shook my head and opened my phone to check if I received a message already but Alas! There is none. "It's weird. I haven't received a text message from Mae Noona's mother. I wonder if she already woke up." I heard Sejin hyung sighed which made me look at him with furrowed brows. 

"Jungkook-ah! Mae is still probably asleep. And why are you even worrying, the doctor already said that she has very stable vital signs and she is miles away from danger." Sejin hyung explained exasperatedly which irritated me. "We will never know until she wakes up. I am going to drop by at the hospital just to make sure." I muttered stubbornly as I walked past him but he suddenly grab my arm to stop me. "Jungkook-ah! Please! Calm down. You still have a concert tonight. What do you think will happen if you go there?" I paused for a minute and think of the possible consequences of my action. I bowed my head and sigh when I realized it could bring more harm to Mae Noona. "Would you like to make the media go after Mae again and what about the members?" He asked which somehow made me feel guilt. These past few days I really haven't thought about the other members. All I could think about is Mae Noona.

"I would go to her if that is what you want just to make sure and give you a peace of mind." Sejin hyung stated which made me raise my head and looked at him expectantly. "But promise me that you have to focus on your concert later. Do you understand?" I sighed and closed my eyes as I nodded. "Alright. I understand but hyung, please text me as soon as you see her or you have any updates. Okay? Please hyung, I am counting on you." Sejin hyung nodded as he let my arm go. "I will. Now, go ahead. You still need to do some rehearsal and soundcheck." I nodded before I walked out of the room towards the elevator.

"Hey, JK. What took you so long?" Jimin hyung asked as soon as entered our van. "Sorry, hyung. I just had an upset stomach." I lied before I took my seat beside Taehyung hyung. I saw Taehyung hyung and Jimin hyung exchanged glances from the corner of my eyes but I ignored it. I took out my phone again and stared at it wishing that it would lit up and a new message will be popping on the screen but after a few minutes of staring at it none came which made me sighed. I am tempted to call Mae Noona's mother's number but I don't want to be a nuisance. For all I know, maybe she is also doing some errands that is why she forgot to call or text me an update this morning.

"JK, how is Mae Noona?" My train of thoughts were interrupted when Taehyung hyung asked. I looked at him and suddenly I don't know what to say. "What about Mae Noona?" I asked playing dumb. Since the incident happened, I told no one else except the management because I don't want to cause trouble to the whole group. Taehyung hyung and Jimin hyung exchanged glances one more time before Taehyung hyung cleared his throat and spoke once again. 

"Jungkook-ah, there is no need to hide. We know. Namjoon hyung told us." I froze when I heard Namjoon hyung's name. "We are like a family. You don't need to hide anything from us." Taehyung hyung added. "Yeah! What do you think is the use of having six older brothers? We are here to understand, protect and support you always as our youngest." Jimin hyung continued. I looked at both my hyungs and smiled at them genuinely while a tear escaped from my eyes which I quickly wiped away. "Thank you." I muttered. Jimin hyung started ruffling my hair like he always do since we were trainees. 

"So, how is Mae Noona now?" Taehyung hyung repeated his question which made me sigh. "I don't know." I answered in an inaudible whisper. "What did you say?" Jimin hyung asked. I looked at them and shook my head. "I honestly don't know. Since the management refrain me from going to the hospital to avoid the media and cause more damage to Mae Noona and of course to our brand, I have been relying on Mae Noona's mother's update through text or call. The last time she texted me was last night and there is still no changes on Mae Noona's condition. She said that Noona is still asleep despite the fact that all her vitals are normal which puzzles everyone including the attending physician. Today, Mae Noona's mom is supposed to text me earlier this morning but until now I received nothing." I bowed my head and run my fingers through my hair in frustration. I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry. I am sure there is a reason." Jimin hyung consoled me. I sighed and looked out the window. "Yeah, there must be a reason. "I just have to wait for Sejin hyung to update me. He volunteered to go to the hospital and check on Mae Noona." I told them. "That is good then." Jimin hyung agreed.
