CHAPTER 32

MAE's P.O.V

"I'm willing to wait, Noona."

I opened my eyes and immediately sat up in bed only to realize that it was only a dream or was it? Did Jungkook really said those words last night to me? I shook my head to clear my head before I head out to the bathroom and wash my face. I stare at my reflection and realized that it was not a dream. Jungkook really said those words and I had the audacity to turn him down. I glare at myself before I turn around and pick up my phone to check any message. Luckily, there was nothing important except for a reminder of todays schedule. I grabbed my clothes and went back to the bathroom to get ready because in an hour, we will be having a short meeting.

I arrived earlier that schedule. I tried to focus on our team leader as much as I could but my mind kept drifting back to Jung Kook. I wonder if he was able to sleep last night. Did he already had his breakfast? What could he be doing right now? I wonder if he hates me now? Ugh! As if he will be affected that much. I am not even that pretty so I am sure it doesn't affect him one bit. I am sure he was just joking. Why did I even reacted that why? I should have reacted differently. Ugh! I wish I could turn back time.

I was busy thinking when my phone vibrated. I hurriedly opened it thinking that it was Jungkook but only to be disappointed when I saw Jaden's name. I opened his message and wondered if he sent me the message by accident? The text was "Where are you? Wanna grab some lunch?" I tilted my head and wondered. Why does this guy want to have lunch with me? Doesn't he want to spend his time with his wife since it's their honeymoon? I shrugged my shoulders and tried to ignore his message but after a few seconds, my phone vibrated again. "Are you busy? How about dinner?" I paused for a minute and reread his message. I don't want to interrupt their honeymoon and so I decided to ignore it again. I was about to close my phone when a new message from Jaden popped out again. "We need to talk, about last night." He added and that's when I remember when Jungkook hit him. I feel bad for what happened. I know I owe him an apology. "Sorry, busy atm. Sure, maybe dinner tonight. See you and Tina, tonight." I replied before I closed my phone and put it back to my pocket.

"Yah, Mae Unnie, Team Leader Anna is talking to you." I felt a light poke on my side by my co-worker Kathleen which brought me back to reality. I raised my head and was welcomed by our Team Leader Anna's annoyed face.

"Are you even listening to me, Mae?" She asked while raising her eyebrows and one hand on her hip. I look around the conference room and saw how all of them are now looking at me. I can feel my blush coming. I returned my gaze to Team Leader Anna's face and shyly shook my head before I lowered my gaze in humiliation. This is really embarrassing. I need to focus. 

Miss Anna sighed in dismay before she cleared her throat and continued speaking. "Like I said, our shoot today includes some water activities. Miss Mae here is a nurse, she was trained for Basic Life Support and First-Aid, so she will be responsible for our boy's medical safety because Dr. Cha Eun Woo is currently on leave. Right, Miss Mae?" Everyone in the room including miss Anna looked at me as if waiting for my confirmation. I am shock! I suddenly felt anxious. Dr. Cha isn't around and it's been ages since I practiced my profession. Can I really do it? But do I have a choice? I clasped both of my hands to stop them from shaking. I am scared and the thought that we will be with them while they were doing water activities just add to my worries. I don't know how to swim.

"Right, Miss Mae?" Miss Anna asked again and so I took a deep breath and convinced myself that I will be okay before I reluctantly nodded. "Great! Now, I expect everyone, including you Miss Mae to assist our boys and make sure that you everything will be perfect. Thank You! Meeting adjourned." Everyone stood up and started making their way to their assignment. It's only 8 o'clock in the morning but everyone is already getting ready for BTS's shoot. Today's first schedule will be shot by the poolside.
