CHAPTER 43

MAE's. P.O.V.

I can feel my heart beating like a drum. I can't believe that I just kissed Jeon Jungkook. I saw our reflection in the elevator door and noticed how he is still holding my hand. "Ahm, Jungkook-ssi, can you please let go of my hand?" I asked politely. I thought that he will listen but he only held me tighter with a smirk on his face. I sighed and shook my head in disappointment. How did I forget how stubborn this man can be? I need to distance myself from him before anyone see us. 

"Please, Jungkook-ssi. Let me go! Other people will see us! I don't want you to be in trouble because of me." I tried to beg but this man simply won't budge. I am getting more anxious and scared. 

The moment the door of the elevator opened, I tried to use as much force as I can but he still won't let me go. I kept glancing from side to side as I hide my face with my free hand as we walk around the lobby. Fudge! I really hope that no one sees us. 

"Jungkook-ssi, please let me go. I promise I won't run away from you. I just don't want us to attract attention. Please Jungkook-ssi." I pleaded. I felt Jungkook loosening his grip and so I took that chance to pull my hand away and distance myself from him.  After a few seconds, I heard someone call my name.

"Mae!" I see Jaden walking to us but his eyes were on Jungkook and he doesn't look pleased.  "Jaden!" I called his name in reply with a wave and a huge smile. He shifted his gaze at me and smiled wider showing his perfect set of white teeth and dimple.

"Where were you? I thought I told you to meet me here." Jaden asked with a condescending tone and that made me irritated. I was about to reply but then Jungkook beat me to it. "She was with me. Do you have any problem with that?" Jungkook muttered through gritted teeth. I can feel the tension emitting from his body. This is not good.

I touched his arm to make him look at me. "What is wrong with you?" I mouthed at him but he simply scoffed at me and then looked away. I closed my eyes and sighed to calm down. "Ahm, I'm sorry, Jaden. I haven't introduced my former employer. This is Jungkook, a member of BTS. We accidentally met and had a little chat. Jungkook-ssi, please meet my boss, Jaden Oh." I introduced them to each other with an awkward smile. 

Jungkook was the first one to speak. "Actually, we did more than just chat." He replied arrogantly which made me gasped and then coughed as I remembered the kiss that transpired a few minutes ago in the rooftop. I glared at him and hit him in the arm. "Yah!" I scolded. My eyes went wide when I realized what I did. How dare I lay a hand on Jeon Jungkook?

"I'm sorry." I bowed my head and bit my lip in regret of what I have done but then, I felt someone touched my chin and lifted my head. I almost forgot how to breath when I saw Jungkook staring at me with a smile on his handsome face. "There is nothing to apologize for and never bow to me ever again or ..." He suddenly stopped speaking and leaned over my shoulder and whispered. "Or, will kiss you right in front of everyone." I gasped in shock. I froze and was rendered speechless. He slowly backed away with a soft chuckle. 

Jungkook cleared his throat and looked at Jaden with a stoic expression. He then raised his right hand. I can feel my heart started to beat faster as I watch Jaden clenched his jaw as he looked at Jungkook's hand. I thought he was not going to take it and so I got a little surprised when he did.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Jaden Oh. I'm Jeon Jungkook, the Golden Maknae of BTS and Mae Noona's boyfriend." I choked when I heard the word boyfriend. Jaden looked at me with a raised eyebrow probably asking if I was okay and so I composed myself and shook my head. "I'm fine. I mouthed." Jaden then looked at Jungkook with his piercing gaze and notice how he clenched and unclenched his jaw before he made a fake smile. "Nice to meet you, too. I'm Jaden Oh. CEO of Precious Love Publishing House and Mae's current boss." I looked at the two men and wondered how long will they clasp their hands. Why is it taking them so long to let go? I looked at the joined hands and noticed the veins almost popping out in their arms. My brows furrowed as I look at their serious expression.
