Luffy x Reader [Request] [5]

The tension was still thick as both crews stood and waited to see what would happen, no one said anything nor did they move I swear you could hear a pin drop from how silent everyone was; but [Y/N] sighed deeply before looking at Luffy in the face.

"Just say what you need to say" she said to him placing her hands on her hips.

"[Y/N] I-I know sorry isn't going to cut it but I am sorry for not thinking what I should have thought to begin with; I understand if you don't want to see me or even want to come back to the crew but I still love you just know that with whatever you choose to do" Luffy said to her not missing a beat with his words not even flinching from Law's sword still at his neck.

[Y/N] paused as she stared at Luffy for a while thinking about what he said to her right now but she still felt hurt after what happened and couldn't come back to the crew right now...

"Luffy, I can't come back to the crew right now I-I still need time" [Y/N] said sadly bringing her gaze to the ground as she wrapped her arms around herself.

Bepo had a sad face seeing his best friend being upset as he placed a paw on her shoulder as she kept her eyes to the snowy ground. Luffy wished to say something even though he understood her choice, but feeling Law's sword inch closer to his neck make him stiff for a moment.

"you got your answer Straw Hat" Law's voice was dangerous and warning Luffy to not drag this out any longer.

Luffy sighed as he backed away letting Law put his sword away as Luff nod his head understanding that him being here longer was just hurting [Y/N] still; Luffy returned over to his crew were sad knowing that they might have lost their greatest friend in the world. 

Chopper walked over to [Y/N] handing her a bag which she took gladly with a warm smile, it was a bag with some of her stuff she might need; Chopper joined the others as they went back to the Sunny to wait for [Y/N] to return or not return as she watched them walk away looking sad at what happened.

"You doing okay?" Law asked once he stood by her side.

"I'll be okay" [Y/N] said a bit sad looking back to at her feet.

Law placed a hand on her shoulder giving her a side hug that she returned, she needed to do this and spend time away from the crew so she could make a clean headed decision; it was just the right move to do right now.

-five days later-

It was one of those sunny days out in the open sea for the Sunny it has been five days since Luffy spoke to [Y/N] about what happened; the days were always slow and nothing was really the same without [Y/N] around but they just sailed on trying to find another island to get supplies for the other new adventure.

coming to a summer island once more they docked near the town heading to get the supplies together, after what happened they weren't taking any chances for another marine attack on their crew members so they all kept together with getting supplies or just every day shopping for relaxing.

Luffy wasn't himself through the five days that he spent without [Y/N] it wasn't really the same without her, seeing her smile every day, hearing her laugh, seeing how her eyes lit up with sailing the seas or fighting  everything about her he missed so much. In his lost of thoughts someone took off his straw hat which made him break out of his thoughts when he turned around wondering who took off his hat but his eyes widened when he saw who was behind him.

Seeing her warm smile and hearing her soft giggle he couldn't help but smile when he saw [Y/N] standing behind him with his hat on top of her head.

"Thought you got rid of me?" she asked in a joking tone as she placed her hands on her hips.

"I thought I did, how did you know where we were?" Luffy said before asking the question since he never said anything where they would be, maybe Nami kept in touch with her.

That's when [Y/N] answered his question holding a piece of paper that he knew what it was.

"I asked Law to follow this and he dropped me off here an hour later" she smiled still placing the paper back in her pocket.

"[Y/N] I-I" Luffy tried to find words to say to her but she cut him off as she wrapped her arms around him in a hug that he returned holding her closely to him not daring to let go of her again.

"I know, I love you too Luffy" she said still holding him in her arms as they stayed there holding each other; Luffy made a promise that he was never going to not question anything like this again, [Y/N] meant everything to him she was there when he ate the devil fruit, was there when he began his journey, there through all of their adventures and there to help him through the pain of losing his brother Ace and she was always going to be by his side no matter what is thrown to them.

They had a bond like no other in the world and that is what kept them strong and kept them together through this journey to find the one piece together.
