Luffy X Reader [Requested] [1]

It was just another amazing day for sailing on the open waters of the ocean in the new world, everyone was doing their own things on the ship while their ship was sailing to Wano to take down an emperor. Nami looking through maps, Chopper and Usopp playing some board games with Brook, Robin sitting on a chair reading a book while Sanji served drinks to her and Nami, Zoro was training and Franky was working on something new for the ship. While Luffy and [Y/N] were fishing as they sailed through the waters.

"Beat I can catch the biggest sea king"  Luffy says with a bright smile.

"Not going to happen" You said back with your bright smile on your own face to match his smile.

You both have been dating for a few months now ever since the last island since you guys were basically perfect for each other; his crazy ideas never worried you and you always went with them no matter how dangerous they might be and taking down an emperor sounded like fun.

The wind was calm and the sun was shining high above the sea making it glow and sparkle, you and Luffy had a lot of fun fishing catching some amazing fish for Sanji to cook up since you both love meat a lot so again a match made in heaven for sure; that's when [y/N] noticed that the sunny day suddenly turned into grey clouds and soft rain which surprised you for sure.

"I thought it was supposed to be sunny today?" you asked when you glanced at everyone on the deck of the ship.

"Guess mother nature has other plans for today" Zoro said as he placed down his weights on the ground.

"Just keep an eye on the wind just in case a storm shows up soon" Nami said as checked the wind and the waves.

Everyone nodded in agreement as they started to put their fun tasks away before a true storm hits them out of nowhere; but of course of you and Luffy it was just another fun day no matter what the weather was so you guys were goofing around.

Chasing each other on deck and catching rain drops in your mouth giggling like little children having some fun like nothing was wrong; that was until you stopped in your tracks looking to your left seeing something in the distant.

"[Y/N] what is it?" Luffy asked when he noticed that you stopped laughing and having fun with him.

"That" you said pointing towards what you were seeing that was slowly sailing towards you all.

Nami took out her spyglass looking towards where you pointed, seeing a ship sailing towards you but not just any ship it was a Marine ship which made her gasp.

"Marines!!!" she shouted out for everyone to hear.

Both Usopp and Chopper were freaking out while you guys were ready for a fight, you walked over to Nami asking for the spyglass so you could look through it. Looking through it you looked at the ship seeing how many men were on the ship but who caught your attention made you smirk a little bit.

"Looks like Akainu is paying us a visit" you said as Luffy stood by your left side and Nami on your right.

"Akainu?" Luffy asked which made you nod when you looked at him; you knew he remembered him because he will always remember the man who killed his brother in front of him.

He was doing better and was accepting that his brother was dead but that didn't stop some of the nightmares to stay inside of his mind; but you will always stay by his side no matter what you both promise each other that you both won't die unless you both die together some day.

"Ready for a fight?" you asked Luffy placing your hands on your hips.

"Let's kick his ass" he said with a bright smile on his face.

Everyone agreed with fighting the marines on and try to get out of this sticking situation without damage to the ship or themselves.

But there was just one thing that everyone was going to get and it wasn't something that they all wouldn't expect and also see coming; fighting this marine was very dangerous even with their training for two years and all the other battles they faced together over months of sailing together. He took a life of Luffy's brother and he might take someone away from him once again leaving Luffy alone and heart broken once again in this cruel world people call life. 

Even though [Y/N] and Luffy made that promise so long ago to always be together and to stay by each other's side forever and ever; but for fate to be so cruel it could rip both of them apart with anything coming towards them within this battle one of them might day today or this promise will stay strong for them both to keep up their hope and dreams forever and ever.
