"You seriously are staying with them?" Doflamingo said to her as they stood on the deck of the harbor facing each other, she couldn't help but roll her eyes at him.
"Of course, I am not leaving my crew behind to join your twisted world" [y/n] snarled back knowing he has twisted ideas for the world and the people in it.
He could only laugh at her words not being affected by them at all, it only made her turn her back away from her knowing that she would stay with her crew; her brother Dragon already has found his path in life, and she was still trying to find a path for her that called to her but she fought herself from following her heart to the man that stood behind her still chuckling darkling at her.
"Fine then next time we meet, will be your last" Doflamingo smiled wickedly at her while her back was turned giving a threat.
"Good luck with that" she waved off the threat like it was nothing as she walked to her crew that was waiting for her to set off sailing again in search of wild adventures.
She dared not look back to see if Doflamingo was still watching her captain's ship sail away from the island; but she really wanted to look back but fought the urge to do so as she watched the sunset in front of her.
"You don't always have to be tough kid" her second in commander Rayleigh said to her as he stood behind her.
"Showing that man any sort of acknowledgment only builds his ego, it has nothing with being tough, he should have gone back over that wall" she fired back crossing her arms knowing what Doflamingo was like since they used to be childhood friends before his family was banished. But mumble the last part on how they first met as children.
"If you say so" Rayleigh just shrugged as he turned to return to his duties on the ship leaving her to stand there not telling her who was watching her leave on the ship right this minute.
- Time Skip [Doflamingo is now 41 while reader is 40] -
He can't remember the last time he saw her in person, can't remember what her laugh sounded like or her voice hell he couldn't picture her at all it has been so long; the last time he caught a glimpse at her was at Roger's execution standing next to a young Shanks and Buggie who were crying for their captain as she stood tall; she looked so different her hair that was once short had grown to her shoulders and she had a couple of scars her and there from battle but he didn't have the guts to go up to her and tease her or taunt her about her captain meeting his end. He did somehow find her in a tavern drunk beyond what he ever saw, but he seemed to have joined her in drinks hearing things from her about how she felt about him; that seemed to slowly fade in the heat of passion they both found themselves in for that single last night.
