Flying High [Future Book]

"Ganster!" the voice of Fox also known as Thatch my flying instructor yelled out to me in the halls that were empty for the day. I sighed heavily because I was once again in trouble after the trick, I used in the practice run today.

"Yes sir?" I asked trying to not show any annoyance, but I was never one to follow any rules about anything really.

"What the hell were you thinking up there? You could have gotten your parent and others killed if it was a real mission" he said showing his frustration as he looked me dead in my brown eyes.

"I did what needed to be done, I saw no other way" I fought back knowing that there might be another way, but I didn't see it and did what I had to do.

"There were many other ways to take down the enemy! You didn't need to take down everyone else with you" Thatch growled a bit and I always know he was harder on me because I was very much like my brother who died because of his risky behavior.

"Okay fine! I fucked up there you happy?!" I shouted now being fed up with how things were between me and Thatch.

Did I have a crush on him fuck yes, I did, am I going to do anything about it? Maybe I already did, but it wasn't supposed to be any romance between teacher and student even though I'm in my twenties. But it was a rule since you couldn't worry about anyone but yourself and your partner in the plane.

I started to turn around ready to walk away and go take a shower to cool off and head to bed since I was so tired of this.

"Stephanie" Thatch called out my name with a heavy sigh which made me stop since he never used my real name for anything.

I didn't turn around to look at him when I felt Thatch stand behind me closely, soon feeling his strong arms wrap around me pulling my back against his chest; feeling his lips give me a lingering kiss against my neck.

"Please understand I don't want to lose you" he spoke gently in my ear as he held me in his arms still which made me melt like always since anything Thatch did or said always made my heart melt.

"I know, I know...." I whispered back taking his right hand in mine and giving it a kiss as he held me in his arms.

"I'll see you tomorrow, love" he said giving me a kiss on top of my head before letting me go.

Letting our hands drift away from each other as we both walked away from each other to start a new day of acting like we were nothing more than teacher and student in front of everyone even though I wish we couldn't hide.
