I couldn't believe this I was being shipped off to Norway, to marry someone I never knew; my father being the bastard that he was wanted nothing but more power. Even though he hated the Viking lifestyle, but he would gladly send his only daughter out to marry this man for more power and control.

The land of Norway was beautiful I must say as the ship sailed across the waters through the land; seeing nothing but snow everywhere as far as I could see. Even with my heavy fur coat it was still chilly here; we would reach the village any minute now and I honestly was still boiling with rage against my father, I will never forgive him for taking away my freedom that I thought I had through my whole life.

Hearing the horn brought me out of my thoughts when the sight of the village was coming into my view. Seeing two large mountains on either side of the village I could see how protected this place was, surely, they're leader my future husband was a fighter for sure and knew battle. I honestly wonder what he was like I couldn't help but think about that when the ship docked at the village where many people stopped to stare at the new arrival in their village.

Coming down from the ship I met with an old woman, must be the elder of the village. She gave me a warm smile in greeting as I returned it with a slight bow.

"Welcome I am Arnthrud the elder of this village, I'm sure you have had a long journey princess" she greeted me with warmth which made me feel a bit better.

"Please call me Fiona" I smiled gently while I spoke to her.

I followed closely beside her while my guards unloaded my things from the ship before they sailed back to Ireland. It was a nice little village nothing like back home where we lived in large cobblestone castles; or had roads that were not made of mud that made it a bit hard to walk in. It'll take me a while to get used to this life. We arrived at this very large and long building must be what they called a long house it was very well made, and the details were lovely.

"Where is my grandson?" the elder asked one of the people inside the building once we entered it.

"He should return from his hunt" the young man spoke before looking over at me with wonder which made me smile warmly at him in greetings.

That's when the sound of horn caught our attention; someone must have arrived in the village, and it must be her grandson the man I am supposed to marry in a few days. Hearing male voices coming closer to us made my heart jump from nerves that I was now feeling. The sight of a young man with bright red hair like fire caught my attention; I could see a smirk on his face as he spoke to his men speaking of their hunt. Seeing him wearing a black fur coat over his shoulders, nothing for a shirt while he wore straps holding knives. How can anyone not wear a shirt in this coldness?

"Vestar there you are come and meet your bride" the woman's voice brought my thoughts when he called out to the young man who paused when he heard his name.

I never saw a more deadly glare before, but his amber eyes were like daggers just tearing me apart from the inside; but I made sure not to show my uneasiness. His frown was very clear on his face when he met my green eyes.

"So, this is the woman" he spoke when he stood in front of me to close for my own good, I only came up to his chest and had to look up at him to return his glare.

"Have a problem with me?" I growled a bit moving my own red hair out of my face showing I wasn't frightened by him or anything about him.

He just gave me a tsk for an answer before pushing pass me almost making me stumble a bit but I kept standing on my feet; what an arse!

"Vestar Eustass Kid Adigard" his grandmother spoke his full name which made him stop and turn around to look at her with that same look like he didn't care about anything in the world.

"Please, try and behave for once" she spoke again giving off a sigh, I'm sure I haven't been the only one he has acted like this towards.

"Tsk, don't worry the wedding will happen I don't give a damn" he said showing he could care less about this marriage, and I had to agree with him on that one for sure, I didn't care much either, but I had to do it.

He turned around and walked off to his chambers leaving me alone with his grandmother who sighed again with how our first meeting went; but I guess this marriage will be like my parents. No love and no respect; I will just be there to bare his children and sit in the long house throughout my days until I die. God, I wish I was born a man really. But I had to make peace with this life now.
