Iceberg x Reader [p3] [Requested]

So far life has been going good after the whole chaos with Tom and Franky. Through the years that passed so fast everything has changed for everyone; Iceberg was now the mayor of Water 7 and he was good at his job and [y/n] couldn't help but be so proud and happy to see how well life has been for him. Hell it was good for her too, with a little encouragement from Iceberg she soon started her own little business opening her own little restaurant. It was he best in town and there was no shortage of customers; so the simple life now was getting better with each day that passed.

Right now it was one of the rare days that [y/n] had a day off, so she thought for old times she would make Iceberg some lunch since he also had the rare time for a day off. So she couldn't help the smile on her face when she was walking towards his office with lunch in her right hand. giving the door a soft knock the voice of Iceberg called out for her to open the door to open and close.

"[Y/n] this is a pleasant surprise" he said with a warm smile on his face as she walked into the room.

"I thought I would spoil you with some lunch on my day off" she smiled herself as she placed the fancy lunch box on his desk.

"Well I appreciate it, thank you" he said as he looked up at her seeing her smile never faded away from her face.

Even after all these years, she could still take his breath away; some times their friends or everyone in Water 7 wondered why they weren't a couple since they were so close. Not to mention they were always seen together when they needed help with something. Now that thought is plaguing Iceberg's mind, would she want to go further in their friendship? Did she even think about him like that? Those were the only thoughts that were stopping him from asking her. But he knew he had to take a chance sooner or later now; so not was the time to ask.

"[Y/n] I was wondering about something" he spoke when he glanced back up at her from his papers.

"What would that be?" she asked tilting her head to the right side wondering about the question.

"Well, would you like to have dinner with me tonight?" he asked looking calm as can be but was truly freaking out on the inside hoping her answer would be yes.

"I-I would like that very much" she stuttered for a moment before a faint blush crossed her cheeks when she smiled shyly.

"Great, I'll pick you up around five" he smiled himself feeling his tension slowly fading away knowing she would want to go out tonight.

"Okay, I'll see you then" she said before she opened his office door to head back to her apartment to get ready for their little date tonight.

The time to fly by as [y/n] waited for five; she was very nervous and it was hard to pick out an outfit for the date. But she picked out a nice pink t-shirt with the pattern of roses at the bottom, with some nice black jeans and boots. So she thought this was a very nice outfit for a date; the more she thought of it the more she couldn't stop blushing or having her heart stop pounding. Soon there was a knock on her door which made her smile; opening the door she saw Iceberg standing there with a warm smile on his face.

"Ready to go?" he asked when she walked out of her apartment locking the door behind her.

"Sure am" she smile with a small giggle already excited. 

[Y/n] linked her arm with Iceberg's letting him lead the way to where they were going for the date tonight. She was so excited she didn't know what to expect from this date; all she knows that she was going to have a fun time enjoying herself with him.

After some time with some nice walking around the town; Iceberg soon took her to one of her favorite spots that viewed the whole city and sea at the same time and it was always peaceful around here. She smiled when she saw a nice little romantic dinner spot for the both other them; it made her heart dance when they sat down together.

"You didn't have to go this fancy" she smiled as she chuckled a bit just loving the moment and the view.

"I thought I should spoil you" he fired back her quote  from lunch today which made her giggle and blush again.

He couldn't help but chuckle himself; he made sure to have her favorite meal cooked as well, now [y/n] felt spoiled for sure. The night was something out of a fairytale, they talked about they've been doing for the past week now and shared funny stories back and forth sharing some laughs. They haven't had a moment like this for so long; it was hard to find them on an off day but they were glad they got it, Iceberg even surprised [y/n] with some slow music to dance to. 

Slowly dancing together to the lovely music, [y/n] loved this being next to Iceberg like this; her heart couldn't stop dancing in her chest. She wished this night would end, she wanted things to be like this forever just the two of them together forever.

But as it got late, Iceberg was walking her back to her apartment for the night; coming to her door, she unlocked it before looking back at Iceberg with a warm smile.

"I really enjoyed this" she said with her heart still dancing.

"I enjoyed it too, I hope we can continue going out together" he said before hinting the idea of continuing going on dates with her.

"I would like that very much" she smiled and blushed again liking the idea of going out with Iceberg.

Iceberg surprised her with a soft kiss on the cheek that made her blush even more when he backed away from her; smiling at her reaction when she kissed her on the cheek.

"Have a good night [y/n]" he said with a warm smile before heading back to his office.

"Goodnight" she said barely in a whisper when she was in a daze; heading back into her apartment. Slowly closing the door behind her, her heart couldn't stop pounding now and she was truly on cloud nine right now.
