Luffy X Reader [Request] [2]

The sounds of swords clashing and guns firing everywhere wee the only things that filled your ears, once the battle begun between the Straw Hats and the Marines; you were fighting off some of the low power officers taking them out one by one with your combat skills that grew better over the pass two years.

You kept close near Usopp and Robin on the Sunny keeping the Marines off of the ship as best as you guys could while the others were fighting everyone else on the Marine ship fighting with everything they got; Chopper made sure that he stuck around you in case you guys got hurt in any way. 

You couldn't help but keep worrying about Luffy since he was fighting against Akainu the asshole who always shouted out shit about justice; but in your mind his sort of justice is cruel and twisted killing people for no reason just because of they did or who they were wasn't a justice that shouldn't be allowed in this twisted up world. You also hated him just as much as Luffy did, Akainu also took someone dear to you and that would be your mother because she supported a pirate who happened to be your father whoever he was and you wanted to fight with Luffy but the Sunny didn't have enough people on board to help protect it from the Marines so you had to stay behind and help while everyone else did the big fighting.

You don't know how long any of you have been fighting, but it felt like hours and these Marines weren't letting up at all; your body was beginning to sweat and hurt from all the fighting you have been doing all day; the soft rain turned into a large storm for everyone and it was hard to keep balance when the ship would rock back and forth with the waves.

"We need to try and get out of here" Usopp said as he fired at the marines.

"I'm open to any ideas for that" you said as you kicked another marine to the ground.

"Luffy!!" the sound of Sanji, Nami and Zoro's voice said together in worry which made you turn around to see what was happening.

The sight made your heart stop seeing Luffy was on the ground struggling with the fight; seeing Akaniu was charging in for the final blow to finish him off; but you moved before anyone could think of anything else to help him.

"LUFFY!" you yelled out his name in fear.

In a flash Luffy saw you stepping in front of him with your arms out to protect in; everything happened so fast as he screamed out your name as you closed your eyes not going to move at all when suddenly you felt something pierce your chest just missing your heart when you puked up blood from the impact.

"Foolish girl" was all Akainu said to you before he slammed his other fist strongly into your skull sending you flying back over to the sunny.

Everyone was shocked and horrified;  Luffy was more horrified than anything as he saw you lying on the ground bleeding and knocked out cold. Chopper rushed over to you screaming out your name seeing if you were alive when he checked your pulse which was there faintly.

"We need to leave now!!" Sanji yelled at everyone since right now everything was going so wrong for the fighting.

Zoro grabbed Luffy from the floor as they all jumped back onto the Sunny; Franky went to the wheel of the ship and started up their escape while Usopp fired one of his many bullets making a large smoke screen for you all to get away from the marines.

Hours passed since Chopper was helping you heal as you still laid out cold on the bed in his doctor office; the injury was mad but thankfully not bad that you won't heal from it but it was going to take forever for your to heal once again with an injury like this; you also had a big gash on your head from the punch so whose to say your won't have any damage to your brain.

Once everything calmed down the door to Chopper's office opened when he came out seeing everyone their standing around waiting to hear any kind of good news at all.

"Well?" Luffy asked still horrified with what happened.

"She....she'll live, but she's in coma and I don't know when she'll wake up.....I did all I could do for her" Chopper answered as he looked to the ground wishing he could do more for you.

"Okay....."was all Luffy said before he stood up and walked passed Chopper and the others to see you.

His heart broke seeing you lying their injured like this when you were protecting him from the blow; he sat down in a chair beside you holding your hand in his......he didn't want to lose you not now not ever, he might be strong but he still wasn't strong enough to protect you like he thought he was and he hated himself for it as he stared at the ground at his feet thinking about why he didn't try to save your from the impact that you took for him.

"Please......please [Y/n] don't leave me...." Luffy whispered out while silent tears ran down his face as he still looked at the ground.
