One Piece One Shots

Ace x Reader [Married Life] [p2]

You were just coming back from work at another night shift from the hospital; opening up the front door you closed it while taking off your coat and shoes before seeing Ace was asleep on the sofa. But he had A.J with him also sleep which made you smile as you got your phone out and took a picture of them both; the flash woke Ace up.

"How long have you've two been down here?" you asked as you smiled warmly at him.

"Started a disney movie at nine so maybe three hours or more,  A.J wanted to try and wait up for you" Ace said as he slowly sat up with A.J in his arms.

"Just try not to wake him" you said with a warm smile still on your face.

"Don't wake him? Watch this" he raised a brow before a gently shook him enough to wake him up but nothing happened which made you giggle.

"You forget this is the same kid, who one the forth of July fell asleep during the fireworks didn't wake up, a marching band played right next to us never woke up" Ace explained as he stood up with A.J in his arms listing things off he fell dead asleep too.

"Okay, I'll go take a shower before going to bed" you said before giving Ace a kiss when he headed upstairs to put A.J to bed.

After taking a shower and getting into comfy PJ's you joined Ace in your shared bed in your bedroom; sinking into the covers it felt nice getting off of your feet from working late again at the hospital but it was only you, Marco and Law at the hospital for emergencies which seemed to show up out of nowhere like always.

"Anything exciting at work?" Ace asked as he laid down on his side resting his chin on his left hand.

"Not really, just silly emergencies left and right I swear both Marco and Law were about to strangle someone" you said before chuckling a bit remembering how many people came in and how many things were stupid. 

None of the emergencies were dangerous or life threatening it was mostly just silly people thinking they had big problems but was just small ones that can be fixed in a snap.

"I can see that, before I forget Pops called and was wondering if we were free for the weekend" Ace said as you snuggled into his side feeling nice and warm.

"You mean if the kids were free" you giggled which made him laugh, Pops loved the grandchildren and always tried getting you all out of the house to see them to spoil them as much as he could.

"Yeah your right, but what do you say take the kids out of the weekend? Besides we both need a break from work" Ace said as he smiled warmly at you since you both were finally getting a day off at the same time which was normally rare.

"I think that would be lovely" you smiled knowing going away from the city would be good since Pops had a big mansion in the country side.

"Alright, get some sleep you need some" he said before he gave you a kiss on the lips before laying completely down next to you.

"I love you" you whispered as the lights turned off making the room completely dark around you both.

"I love you too" he whispered back to you with a kiss on your forehead before falling asleep next to you after a long day. 

It was going to be nice when you all could get away from the city and have some family time together; it was going to be a nice time since it was harder to get a vacation all together as a family.
