'An empire cannot stand without it's leader, the people cannot move forward without guidance, a queen cannot survive without her subjects'

Those were the words father spoke to me every time he took me out around my homeland in Brazil, seeing the wide lands in front of my child eyes. I didn't understand it back then, but I understand it now. Turning nineteen has brought me one step closer to becoming what my father wished to be, to rule his empire once he steps down.

"Valeria?! VALERIA!" the shouting brought me out of my daze and brought me back to what was happening right now.

My gaze glanced to my left seeing Kid sitting there with a slight annoyed glare, before putting a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it up.

"What?" I asked just annoyed like he was right now; Killer was driving the car taking us to the spot where we needed to go.

"You need to stop spacing out" Kid slightly growled at me while blowing out some smoke as he spoke.

"Oh, so a daughter can't blank out because her father was murdered four days after the meeting of me taking over the family business!?" I slightly snapped at him when looking up at his amber eyes that looked back at my blue eyes.

"Kid, leave her alone" Killer spoke up glancing in the mirror to see me and Kid in the back.

Kid just 'tsk' before glaring out of the window leaving me alone when I looked back out of the window, watching the land change from slightly forest grass sections to dusty landscapes until I felt the car stop. Kid was the first out followed by Killer who came to my side and opened the door offering a hand to help me out of the car, I took it being careful where I stepped with my black high heels; holding the single rose in my hand as I followed the stoney path with Killer and Kid behind me following close behind as I came to the family graveyard looking over the river side.

I saw the other people my father called family standing in black waiting for me to arrive, seeing Law, Doflamingo, Crocodile and their second in commands being there as well slightly touched my heart but I knew one of them wasn't meant to be trusted if not all of them; I know one of them if not all in my father's death once learning I would be taking over the family business and not one of the. Standing in front of the large stone of my family the Tesoro family I could see the name of my father next to my mother's name, seeing my mother's name gave my heart a small sting as I bent down to place the rose on the grave before standing up again saying nothing for a few moments; I didn't need to look behind me to see that the others were turning around and walking back to their own cars.

I closed my eyes for a moment feeling the hot breeze against my skin, but I promised my father I wouldn't cry until I needed to cry that was the only promise I will not break for my father; I opened my eyes when feeling a paw on my shoulder, looking behind me to see Bepo standing beside me and maybe stood there longer than the others I knew he was my one true friend in this life I was born in.

"I'm no one's little girl anymore" I whispered to him while looking at the ground under my feet letting the reality hit me.

"You always have us" Bepo said trying to make me feel better about how I was feeling right now.

"No, just you" I said when glancing back at the others who were preparing to leave knowing they would never accept me for being the leader of the family now and I know that one of them was the one who murdered my father and might take a shot at me when I am not looking; but I will make sure I am not the person they wish to cross.
