As everyone knew, Maria Hill was mostly known of being tough and quite badass. Or every SHIELD agent and Avenger thought that, but it was a whole different story when it came to you.

You were sitting in the living room at the Avengers compound, eyes on your phone while Natasha, Tony, Steve and Sam were talking.

"Has anyone ever seen Hill being soft?" Tony asked. You saw how Natasha, Steve and Sam shook their heads. You let a smile creep onto your face, which Tony noticed. "Something funny, Y/N? It's not like you've seen her soft side."

"As a matter of fact Tony, I have." you smiled and he raised an eyebrow, obviously not believing you. The main doors opened and Maria stepped inside the compound, files in her hands.

"Y/N?" she called out. You smiled widely and practically jumped off the armchair you were sitting on. Natasha followed you with her eyes, seeing how Maria placed the papers down on a counter and hugged you tightly.

"Uh, Tony, I think Y/N was telling the truth." she said and Tony, Steve and Sam looked over to where you and Maria were. They saw how Maria stroked your cheeks with a smile on her face, one they had never seen.

"Hey! Stop staring!" Maria shouted and Tony, Steve and Sam turned away while Natasha was still looking, giggling. "This pretty is taken."

Natasha chuckled when she saw how Maria wrapped her arms around you from behind, her nose on the crook of your neck. You giggled and kissed her temple.
