You were clinging onto Maria as you pushed through the crowd. You were trying to get to the backpack only when the guy who had one threw it at Maria, it appeared to be empty.

"It's empty," she said and sighed. You watched the guy run away.

"They're decoys," you said and looked at Maria.

The bombs exploded, you let out a scream and a gasp. Maria held your hand tightly. As the bombs continued to explode, the more screaming were heard and people running around. You saw a girl who was on the ground, crying.

"Ria," you said and dragged her towards the girl and helped her up, just as soon as an officer came too. The two ran away as you and Maria stayed and looked around.

"Hill," was heard and you both turned to see Fury. He gave a wave and Maria let out a sigh in relief and walked over.

A gunshot was heard and you saw how Maria's upper body lifted up and pushed back a little. You let out a gasp as tears swelled up in your eyes.

She fell to the ground as you rushed over to her. She was gasping for air as you applied pressure on the gunshot wound on her stomach. You looked up at Fury who had his gun aimed at the two of you.

Maria clutched onto your arm and whispered for you to go. But you only shook your head. Another bomb was exploded and you laid your head on Maria.

You looked at her as you let out cries. "Stay with me, baby. Stay with me! Don't you dare close your eyes!"

You looked up with teary eyes as you saw Fury coming over but from the other side. Just then it hit you. The guy who shot Maria wasn't Fury, it was a Skrull.

He rushed over and bent down by the two of you and watched your broken expression. Maria still had her hand on your forearm, gripping it tightly.

"It was you..." she said and looked at Fury. You shook your head as she stopped breathing and her grip on your arm loosened.

"No. No! Maria!" you screamed and shook her.

You were walking around in S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters, unaware of where you're going. You accidentally bumped into someone and backed away.

"I'm so sorry! I was just looking for Director Fury's office and got lost," you said quickly and looked up at the woman and you pulled your lips into your mouth. "C-Commander Hill. I'm so sorry!"

She chuckled a bit. "It's alright, agent. Do you need help finding Fury's office? I was on my way there."

"Yes, please. That would be great," you said and smiled at her a bit. She hummed and led you towards Fury's office.

"Maria please! Don't leave me!"

"Thank you, for tonight," she said and looked at you with a smile.

The two of you had just had your first date. She had taken you to a place in New York where she would cool off and let all her stress away.

Or the stress Fury would put on her.

"No, thank you. You were the one who asked me out," you said and she chuckled and nodded. You smiled softly at her.

She looked at you, her eyes traveling from your eyes to your lips. She slowly leaned closer to you and you took the hint, moving your face closer to hers. Your lips attracted to hers as she kissed you with passion.

"Maria please...you promised!"

"Promise me, you'll always stay," you whispered as the two of you were cuddling in your bed at the Avengers compound.

She looked at you and smiled and kissed your head. "I promise."

You smiled sweetly and kissed her. She smiled into the kiss as you moved to sit on her lap. She ran her fingers through your hair as you cupped her cheeks.

"Happy two years," you whispered.

"Happy two years," she whispered.

Fury started to pull you off from Maria which only caused you to scream.

"No! Let me go!" you screamed and tried to get back to her. "MARIA!"

"I love you," she whispered and rubbed your cheek.

"I love you too," you said and smiled.
