Chapter 49: The New Era

"Insolent god! I won't let you destroy my perfect world." The anger in Gaia's voice echoed throughout the land. But the young man who stood infront of the Goddess remained calm, and unfazed.

"If your world was so perfect, why did it take me a single flower to corrupt it?"

"You will be punished for your intervention with human matters. And I will be the one to carry out the punishment." The goddess said, full of herself. The world of Gaia began to glitch, and more popping colors appeared. The time has been stopped for too long, any time soon the battle between the Queen and the Crimson Heroine will continue.

"I take that back on you, Goddess Gaia!" The man shouted. Both light that the two gods emitting was blinding.

"If your world was so perfect, why are the poor discriminated, and the rich honored? Why are the weak being killed, and the strong praised? Why are the envious Queens and royalties live, while the pure and innocent dies? Why is the love colluded with deceit and the lies became the truth?"

The unnamed god raised one of his hand and a blinding magic circle appeared, the legendary flower of sins formed on his hand. This time, the Goddess was too stunned to speak.

"Because you have been manipulating this world on your own pleasure. You have been playing with the people's fates like it was some kind of gamble. You have favored the sinful, and forsakaned the good. Constantly disrupting the balance. You have taken advantage of the imperfection of the world. And you know the grave consequences of involving yourself with humans. That, it is the very rule–we gods, are forbidden to do."

Naglaho ang bulaklak sa kamay ng lalaki at napabuntong hininga nalang ito matapos magsalita. Natawa naman ang diyosa, isang kabadong tawa.

"H-Haha. You are no different from me. You used that flower, therefore you involved yourself with the humans as well." Ngayon, ang lalaki naman ang tumawa. Isang malakas na tawa na ikinagalit lalo ni Gaia.

"All I did was to plant this seed, and let the fate do whatever it wants to do. The flower granted the wishes that was out of greed, lust, envy, sloth, pride, and wrath. But in return, was a dire price. For the past centuries this flower has punished most of the deserving people who came across it. And well, not until it came across with Lucille and Marcus."

"You dare speak the names of this filthy humans? Ha, what kind of god are you? Maybe that's the reason why no one worships you. Because you are nothing. I am guessing that you don't even have a world, how pathetic can you be?"  Tiningnan ng lalaki ng mataman si Gaia. At hindi naman alam ng diyosa ang gagawin, tila ba nanliit siya bigla sa tingin nito. Pero bakit? Ano ba ang meron sa diyos na ito at sino nga ba siya?

"This two humans have brought the fruit of the flower. To tell you in detail, fate and the universe have decided to erase, destroy, or end this world along with you. I didn't even do anything, but it has been decided. The world, and the Goddess will be punished accordingly. And the woman, right here, who is fighting your so-called hero will carry out the verdict."

Dahan dahang gumalaw ang mga dahon, ang mga nagbabagsakang bato at mga puno. Ibig sabihin ay unti-unti nang bumabalik ang takbo ng oras. Ang kapangyarihan ni Lucifiene ay unti-unting lumalakas. Ang gabing walang hanggan na bumabalot sa kalupaan ay nasilaw sa liwanag ng kapangyarihan ni Lucifiene.
