Chapter 37: Crimson Ambition

"Your Majesty! This is a declaration war!" A minister exclaimed during the aftermath of the ambush in their main city. Properties worth of millions were burned, along with the lives of their innocent and pitiful people. The King of the land of White was furious and there was no words that could explain how it pains him to see his land became like this in one night.

"It seems like they had truly prepared for this day, your majesty." Whispered by the right hand of the king. The King, who was currently sitting on his throne, clenched his fist.

"This, cannot be undone." He said in a deep, serious tone. You can clearly feel the wrath within his heart, as well as his sorrow.

"Your majesty," a young soldier came infront and kneeled down, as both of his arms held the flag of the Red kingdom. The right hand of the king, immediately came closer and examined the flag. He was shocked upon discovering the origins and legitimacy of the flag. He looked upon his King in great dismay.

"Your majesty, it is indeed the flag of the Red Kingdom. The embroidery, and the cloth used in this, I cannot be mistaken that it is theirs. Such cloth can only be used by royalties."

"THOSE INSOLENTS!" The King finally snapped. He stood up and immediately left the throne room.

The round table of the five kingdoms was called none other than by the King of the White Kingdom himself. All Kings and Queens of each kingdoms were present, except for the Kingdom of red. No one showed, they didn't even send a representative to attend on their behalf. This only made the King of the White Kingdom even more furious, also it even looked that they are truly guilty of what happened.

"The Red Kingdom attacked without no apparent reason, it clearly means they wanted war." The Prince of blue was the one who spoke first, he attended the meeting on behalf of his father who was dealing with something at the moment.

"During this peaceful times? What do they want? And what good would it give them?" Said the confused Queen of the Kingdom of Green.

"Our kingdom doesnt have that much of knights to fight in such a war. Since they attacked us, and gave their identity, they are the one who broke the royal treaty." Said the King of the White kingdom. It is true that they don't have many soldiers or knights like the other kingdom, they are the neutral city after all where all kinds of trading takes place, wanderers and merchants are free to go within the kingdom walls.

"You are saying that you wanted us to lend you a soldiers?" Lucifiene finally spoke up, and after that, she laughed a bit.

"I am sorry my dear King but I cannot help you in this matter. I won't risk my soldier's lives just for the feud of other Kingdoms." All the people who was present inside the room were surprised upon what Lucifiene said.

"BUT WE HAVE A TREATY!" The king of white lost his temper. No one can blame him anyway since he suffered a great loss. He was just angry and confused.

"Same goes with our country." Said the King of the Green country. He then looked at his Queen beside him who was also sincerely worried about the situation of the White Kingdom.

"Well, I might reconsider." Lucifiene said, and then she let out a small sigh. She has the most soldiers and Knights in all four kingdoms, her country was known as the most prosperous one because of the way her late father, Fienel, reigned.
