Time is an inevitable path. We cannot stop it, nor can we move faster or slower, backwards. Up or down.
We are simply inching along slowly, to a death we all shall reach.
Everything reaches an end eventually, even if it takes billions of years.
Stars explode.
Planets crumble.
Humans expire.
We kill and get killed.
Everything must come to an end.
Why do we grasp so desperately for a way to do the impossible, to bend and manipulate time at will.
We create works of fiction revolving around it.
We create heroes that abuse it.
We hope so desperately for something that will never come.
Human nature is greed.
Eve wanted more. Cain wanted more. Samson wanted more. Judas wanted more.
Lucifer wished for so much more that he was shunned for it, rejected and pushed away. Turning from a beautiful creature to a vile thing.
There are no monsters in our world, it's just us.
It's always us.
