It was already dark by the time Seol came home from the hospital. Ji Ho drove her to the front of the apartment tower. He forbade her who was about to come down on her own. He rushed get out of his car and opened the car door for her.

“Aigoo… there's no need to be like this,” Seol felt bad.

"You are a patient."

"Do you treat all your patients like this? Or maybe your clinic is really quiet, so once you get a patient, you treat them extra so they can come back to your clinic?"

"Hm... just think of it like that, so you don't have to feel embarrassed. I'll total the extra cost and you can transfer it to my account."

"Hey... I didn't ask to be escorted!"

"Just kidding..."

They laugh together.

"Don't forget to take the medicine regularly. Come back to my clinic in a month to see how things are going. Eat healthy food, don't stress and get enough sleep. Okay?"

“Okay,” Seol nodded obediently like a child being advised by her parents.

Ji Ho who felt amused ruffled her bangs.

"Come in."

Seol nodded, “Thanks, Doc.”

Ji Ho continued to stare at Seol's back until she disappeared behind the revolving door.

Silence greeted Seol's return. She was surprised to see Dan's dining chair lying on the floor with banana pieces splattered around it. She couldn't find anyone in the house.

"Did Will ask them out?" Seol thought. But seeing the messy state of the room gave rise to a bad feeling. She tries to call Soo Ji, but apparently she left her cellphone at home. She also called Will several times until the man picked up in a tone that sounded cold.

"Where are you? Were you with Soo Ji and Dan?"

"Come to Yulje hospital."

"Hospital? Why?"

Will didn't answer and immediately hung up. Seol was starting to feel anxious and guilty. Maybe something happened to Soo Ji while she was gone.

Dan doesn't cry anymore. He was engrossed in holding doctor Andrea's cute stethoscope in the shape of a giraffe's head. He has undergone a thorough examination. Although there are no broken bones, fractures, internal bleeding, or concussions, his parents must continue to monitor him for 24 hours. If he vomits or has a fever, he should be taken to the hospital immediately. Andrea also prescribed children's paracetamol for first aid if Dan had a fever.

Soo Ji's tears were still flowing after they left the pediatrician's room and headed to the pharmacy to buy paracetamol. Will crouched down in front of her, wiping her tears with a handkerchief.

"Come on, don't cry anymore. You heard it yourself, the doctor said Dan was fine."

"Still... if only I hadn't left him alone... if only I had been quicker to prevent him from falling... if only these legs weren't paralyzed... I'm useless... I'm a bad mother..." Soo Ji cries getting louder.

Dan looked at his mother confused. He climbed up her body and touched her wet cheek.

"Geurae Dan-ah, tell Eomma, I'm fine Eomma."

"Mamama..."

"Smart boy... see, he's still smart. That means his brain is still fine."

Soo Ji smiled. She was slightly amused by Will's joke.
