Chapter 14 Part 2

Morning finally came to greet the whole class and they wasted no time.

"Alright let us conduct a search and rescue for Hinata, we need to look for her as fast as possible, understood?" Kiba commanded the whole class confidently.

"Understood!" The search and rescue team responded.

They started to run outside the barrier of Class C, knowing fully that monsters with unknown capabilities lurk the lushed forest, even so they are risking their lives to follow Kiba's orders.

As the team ran, they slowly began to fade from the scene.

"Let's just hope that they return back safely with Hinata." Kiba worryingly said.

The atmosphere became quiet but later on everyone began doing their tasks.

"Uh Uesugi, may I have a word with you?" Kiba asked Uesugi with a serious look in his eyes.

The fellow had nothing better to do, and he went along with him in the Class C base hall perhaps to discuss something.

When they entered the hall, it was surprisingly neat and clean, the design of the hall itself is rather intricate as well, and from what Uesugi can deduce this is the work of the automated building system of the capsule.

Amazing.

Kiba then stopped in his tracks and questioned Uesugi.

"Uesugi, did you intentionally lose Hinata in the forest?" he asked with a hint of angry tone in his voice.

He looked at the apathetic man with a serious intention, and it isn't like Kiba at all.

"The forest was dark in itself Kiba, it was hard to navigate through it even with flashlights, my sense of direction was a bit thrown off and that's when I realized Hinata-san was no longer by my side, or rather I lost her." Uesugi explained.

"You were the one that suggested to go to the forest in the dark night in the first place, you really planned on intentionally leaving Hinata behind."

"Look, I suggested that it was better to go earlier to investigate since this is a competition, if what we investigated happened to have very valuable items we can use as a class then we would have a supply advantage against the other team, I didn't force you to agree on it, I merely suggested it considering that the other classes might have the same idea and if so we would no doubt be the one to lose the opportunity of gaining the upperhand." he explained to the best of his abilities.

"I know...but, it really is irresponsible of you to lose her like that." Kiba's expression changed.

"I could care less about what you think of me after the incident." Uesugi answered.

With silence filling up the whole room Uesugi started to consider leaving, however Kiba stopped him in his tracks.

"Uesugi, did you do that to lure out the impostor?" he asked.

Uesugi looked at him straight in the eyes with his own that is as dark as the pitch black night.

"I have no idea what you are talking about Kiba-san, even if I were to have the ability to do so I would not consider doing something so evil as leaving someone behind in a dark forest all alone."

Kiba who looked suspicious of him changed his expression again.

"Could it be that you did that on purpose to cover up the fact that you are the impostor?" he unraveled.

Uesugu stood in the same spot again for a second.

"Hmm? Rather a bold accusation isn't it Kiba-san? Well you are thinking about the right questions so I really couldn't blame you for that." Uesugi said.

"Does that mean..."

"I have been meaning to ask, where's Schwartz?"

"He assisted the search and rescue team."

"I see."

Kiba who looked a bit confused tried to confirm his accusation.

"So you are the impostor? You did that to make you look like the one that's least likely to be the mole right?"

"I hate to break it to you but I am not, Kiba-san. I already told you, I did not lose Hinata intentionally, I am not that much of an evil person."

Kiba who looked down sighed.

"Is that so huh? Well I am sorry for accusing you Uesugi, even after what you have done for the class I shamelessly blamed you for the incident, I should have known to decline the surveillance mission yesterday night, if I did then this wouldn't have happened." he apologized.

"That is nothing to be worried about, I should have just kept my mouth shut and not suggest to do it so late at night, I apologize for that."

"Well, all I can really say is that we are both to be blamed for this haha." his cheerful side came out again as he left out a gentle laugh.

"Kiba, if you no longer need me, then I shall take my leave." Uesugi bluntly requested.

"Oh yes, of course Uesugi, thanks for your time."

"Then I'll be going."

"Yes, I will be seeing you later."

After Uesugi took his leave and his footsteps are no longer heard, something rather unexpected unfolded.

"UURHGHGHHHHH! THAT PIECE OF SHIT WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS?!"

Kiba changed entirely, everything that the class have known about him, have turned out to be just a bitter lie.

Looking furious, he started gritting his own teeth, angry and perplexed on what action to take next.

"That guy is much more trouble than I expected, fuck, everything was going so well until he lost that bitch, I could barely contain my cool." He angrily said in a very different tone of voice.

Breathing in and out in a very angry manner he started to cool himself down.

"My current plan might have been ruined, but I am always one step ahead it is just that I did not expect for him to be this fast on taking action, it really was my own error." he slammed his hand on the table.

"I should have just took that guy's words, this man is dangerous for my schemes. If this keeps up, I would not be able to achieve my goal."

As the whole class outside did their chores, Kiba simply observed them.

"That's right, these idiots don't even know anything isn't that right Uesugi-san? This is why they deserved to be placed in this trash class, believing everything they see on the surface, taking orders from someone they don't even know fully, unskilled bastards who only follow orders from people who possess power to take control, once you know their overall nature they're very easy to manipulate. Truly foolish that they didn't realize the one who's been keeping the whole class up is the one who will bring it down quite ironic I must say." he said in a rather calm yet ruthless manner.

Kiba let out a rather terrifying psychotic laugh.

"If you think you got this figured out Uesugi-san, you are terribly wrong, you haven't realized it still but the grave mistake you did is involving yourself in the victory of Class C against Class S, I still have everything under control." as he uttered those words to himself he let out an ominous laugh.

The class is under the control of what they thought to be a generous and thoughtful leader, turned out to be a psychotic manipulating maniac bending others to do his bidding in order to complete his goal which nobody except Kiba knows and from the looks of it he is willing to go incredible heights to attain it.

Class C, is in an even bigger trouble than they originally expected having their trusted leader secretly turning against them, the class' downfall is certain.
