No one's POV.:

3racha weren't having a great day at the studio today. Despite usually being close friends, there had been tensions within the trio all day. Jisung was confused, they usually enjoyed making music no matter how tired they were but right now, he'd rather be anywhere other than here and he could tell his hyungs felt the same. Had the studio changed? It had always been a safe atmosphere despite the stress they often endured within its walls. Jisung was pulled from his thoughts by Changbin nudging his arm. The older nodded towards Chan, a quiet warning not to space out again. He didn't want their leader to get upset because they weren't taking their work seriously. At least Changbin assumed that the Aussie was upset about something. It'd be the only realistic explanation for Chan's cold and tense behavior. Changbin too had noticed something being off but he felt like whatever was off was more about the older himself and not the studio.

Chan hadn't spent the previous night at the dorm, instead opting for a thirty-minute nap on the couch of his studio before he resumed his work. Unsurprisingly, he had woken up to a headache after his nap, a desperate sign of his body, trying to tell him it needed more sleep than that. He couldn't afford sleeping more than that though, so much work still needing to be finished before Changbin and Jisung would join him a few hours later. Rubbing his face, Chan took a few sips of water before forcing his eyes to focus on the screen again. The bright light made his eyes sting and he quickly turned away. Yeah, he really needed a moment to wake up fully. The cold water sloshed uncomfortably in his stomach. Great, now he hadn't only overwhelmed his eyes but also his stomach. It couldn't be helped. In a few minutes his body should've fully woken up and he'll feel alright then. However, Chan didn't feel any better after a few minutes, his eyes feeling way too warm and watering every time he glanced at his laptop screen. His stomach was still off too, so he refrained from having more water although it might help his headache. By the time Changbin and Jisung arrived at the studio, nothing about his condition had changed but what did he expect, considering how little sleep he had gotten.

As the trio got to work, Chan tried his hardest to put his heart into his work but it was difficult. He had always loved to make music but now that he was forced to make music when he'd much rather be in bed, catching up on some sleep, it had lost some of its usual appeal. Chanbin could tell the older wasn't happy about the song they were working on right now but he didn't know that the song itself didn't matter, that his hyung wasn't happy with any component of the current situation. Not his headache, not his churning stomach, not the deep ache in his muscles and especially not the heavy exhaustion that weighted him down and made his mind hazy. Chan had felt bile trying to climb up his throat a few times already but kept swallowing in hopes it'd stay down. It made his throat burn but no matter how badly he wanted to rinse it down with some water, he knew he shouldn't put anymore in his stomach. The first few sips of water after his nap were what had gotten him into this situation in the first place.

The hours passed, the mood in the studio dull but Chan didn't have the energy to cheer it up. The longer he denied himself any water, the worse his headache got, pounding ferociously behind his temples. He completely drowned out his dongsaengs' talk about food. They were probably right, it was time for a meal but he didn't have any appetite, so he'd just let them do their thing. If they were hungry, they should get themselves some food. He wouldn't have any. His stomach had started to cramp at some point during the last thirty minutes and though a small voice in his head proposed that it might be hunger pains, Chan tried to ignore it. "Hyung, it's really time for lunch now. I'm pretty sure you didn't eat breakfast, did you?", Changbin asked. The older shook his head, keeping his eyes on his laptop screen. Suppressing a sigh, Changbin frowned: "Since we're getting food now, what do you want to eat?" Chan shook his head again. Just thinking about food made his stomach turn. "If you're not going to decide, we're just going to get you something", Jisung pushed, knowing his hyung always lost his appetite when he was stressed, so it'd be easier to get him to eat something if it was a dish he liked.
