Minho and Jisung had been dating for a few months already, which the group was well aware of. In public, they often joked about their 'relationship', figuring if they were the ones starting the shipping, people would only think of it as a joke between two close friends. In private though, things were more serious. With how attached the two were, it came as a surprise when they were separated in the new dorms. Jisung himself was rather annoyed that it was Hyunjin, who moved in with 3racha instead of Minho, but he understood that leaving Hyunjin in charge of the maknae-line would probably end in chaos. At first, it didn't seem to cause any problems, as they still saw each other every day during their schedule and would stay over at each other's dorms pretty much all the time. There was one problem, that Minho wasn't aware of though.

Jisung had been a little since shortly after their debut and had been working up his courage to tell his boyfriend about this vulnerable side of him. Before he got the chance though, they moved into separate dorms and were also flooded with lengthy schedules, so they never got the chance to have a long and serious talk. The longer they spent living apart, the more distant Minho became. Jisung didn't know why and the older wasn't too forthcoming when asked about it. He gave evasive answers, mainly claiming that he was busy but he had never been too busy for his boyfriend before, so the statement made Jisung feel uneasy about the way their relationship was going.

None of them had known that Jeongin was a little. Had they known, Chan would've made sure the maknae would be sharing a dorm with him, so he could take care of his dongsaeng. Though Jeongin never regressed around his friends before, he still sought out Chan's presence on the days his mind felt fuzzy or he was down in general, so although he could slip more freely having his own room, he clearly lacked the presence of his comfort person. That was why Minho found him crying one night. Jeongin had slipped and so badly wanted to be with Chan, that he had made it all the way to the front door before curling up in a tight ball amongst their shoes as he realized he couldn't just go over to the other dorm to be with his hyung. When Minho had approached him and asked what was wrong, the maknae had whimpered: "Innie miss Channie-hyung." – "Are you okay though? You sound weird", the older inquired and Jeongin had to admit that he was feeling really small.

Neither Minho, nor Jeongin had gotten much sleep that night as the dancer tried to calm his dongsaeng down and figure out how to best take care of him. He did lots of research on age regression, eventually also getting some input from Jeongin once the boy had calmed down. It left both of them having to figure out how to work with their new dynamics, as Jeongin made it clear that he didn't want any of the other members to know, no matter how badly he might want to be with Chan. Maybe he'd find the courage to tell the leader at some point but until then, it would remain their secret and Minho would become his caregiver for the time being.

Problems only started to arise, when his new caregiver-role kept him busy outside of their schedules. He missed Jisung and the rapper frequently begged him to hang out. In the beginning, he had teased Jisung about being clingy despite feeling the same but when he realized how much the teasing was hurting the younger, he stopped and became more evasive. No matter how badly he wanted to talk to Jisung and explain that he wasn't avoiding him or had stopped caring, he couldn't. He had promised Jeongin to keep his secret and with none of the other members knowing, he couldn't get anyone else to watch over the maknae while he'd spend time with his boyfriend. Minho was well aware that their current situation was causing a rift in their relationship and encouraged Jeongin to go and talk to Chan. Still worried about their leader's reaction, Jeongin avoided having said talk besides, he had started to enjoy his evenings with Minho, the dancer doing a great job at taking care of him.
