Sickie: JisungCaregiver: Hyunjin
No one's POV.:
It was already late in the evening when Hyunjin got back to his dorm. He had been practicing some of the new choreographies on his own for the past few hours and was glad to finally be home. Chan and Changbin were sitting in the living room, papers with lyrics scattered around them as they worked. That was weird because usually Jisung would be with them but the younger was nowhere to be seen. Hyunjin quietly greeted his two hyungs before making his way to the bathroom to wash up. Jisung's room was right next to the bathroom and when the dancer turned off the water to shampoo his hair, he could hear the other coughing through the wall. He knew Jisung had come down with a cold a few days ago but it hadn't been too bad. The rapper was mainly just stuffed up, his nose a little runny but other than that, he had been fine. Well, he had at least seemed fine when Hyunjin had last seen him but the longer the coughing continued, the more the dancer started to wonder.
They hadn't had much schedule together, aside from a recording session early in the morning and that wasn't exactly telling. Jisung always took a long time to really wake up, so him being tired and withdrawn during the first hour of their schedule wasn't concerning and so Hyunjin had thought nothing of it. It would explain why Chan and Changbin had been in the living room alone though. Deep in thought, Hyunjin rinsed the shampoo out of his hair and finished his shower before changing into comfortable clothes and joining his friends in the living room. He was just thinking about getting a late snack after having missed dinner, when Changbin asked if they should eat something. "Ah right", Chan sighed, "Completely forgot about dinner. Did you eat, Jinnie?" The dancer shook his head, admitting: "Was just thinking about grabbing something. Let's eat together, hyung." As they checked the fridge, they found some leftovers and started to heat them up. "Did Jisung eat?", Hyunjin asked, glancing towards the bedrooms. It was so unlike his dongsaeng to sleep early, the dancer couldn't help but wonder. Laying the table, Changbin replied: "Yeah, we made him have some soup earlier because it didn't seem like we'd be able to get him out of bed once we allowed him to go lay down." - "Is he doing that bad?", Hyunjin frowned, surprised because the other had seemed to be okay this morning. Handing the dancer his food, Chan smiled: "He was mostly just really tired because he hadn't slept well last night. He had no fever or anything that an early bedtime wouldn't fix."
That soothed Hyunjin's concern some but he could still hear the rapper cough pretty frequently, so when they were done eating, he made a cup of tea. When Changbin shot him a questioning look, the younger explained: "You can't tell me Jisung is asleep yet. Come on, it's ... Jisung. He doesn't sleep early and he's still coughing, so I doubt he could." Hyunjin had a point, the cough may be the reason the rapper hadn't slept well the previous night. "I mean, you're not wrong, after all it's Jisung, we're talking about", Changbin agreed with a shrug, "Chan-hyung and I will be working some more in hyung's room, so if you need us, that's where you can find us." Hyunjin nodded, stirring some honey into the tea. He didn't like that they were once again working into the night but at least, they were at the dorm and could go to bed anytime if they felt like it.
The dancer quietly made his way to Jisung's room, gently tapping his fingernails against the door as to not disturb the younger if he was actually asleep. Unsurprisingly, he wasn't and hoarsely called: "Yeah?" - "Hey, didn't think you could sleep already", Hyunjin chuckled when he slipped into the room, "How're you feeling?" The rapper shrugged, sitting up. Bringing his sweaterpaws up to scrub at his nose, Jisung sniffled: "'b jus' really tired." Turning away, he clamped his sweaterpaws over his mouth and broke into another cough. Hearing the painful scraping in his dongsaeng's throat, Hyunjin took a seat on the edge of the mattress and placed the tea on the nightstand, so he could properly comfort the younger. It was worrying though, how long the fit lasted and there was nothing the dancer could do but rub his friend's back through it. "You okay?", Hyunjin cooed, when the coughing finally tapered off and Jisung looked back at him teary eyes. The rapper gave a tired nod, wiping at his eyes. All the coughing had strained his throat and kept him from sleeping, no matter how tired he felt.
