Sickie/Little: Changbin

Caregivers: Minho + Jisung

No one’s POV.:

The members didn’t know about Changbin’s littlespace and he usually slipped secretly in his room. Sometimes he was lucky enough for the members to be out, so he’d be able to move around the dorm freely without being discovered. When Stray Kids finally got a day off and most of the members had place to hang out with their families or friends, Changbin had intended to sleep in late to catch up on some sleep before spending the day in his headspace. He had been nursing a headache for the past week, so he figured a few additional hours of sleep as well as a break from his stress would do him some good. Sadly, he wouldn’t be granted those extra-hours of sleep, waking up to a completely blocked nose. His head hurt even worse now than it had before and the discomfort was too much for Changbin in his exhausted state, causing the rapper to slip.

Changbin sat on his bed, sniffling softly as he listened to his dorm mates move around their shared apartment. Knowing about Changbin’s plan to sleep in, Chan reminded Hyunjin and Jisung to be quiet while getting ready. None of them knew that the rapper was already awake, silently crying into his pillow. Changbin was frustrated because he had wanted to relax and let go of his worries for a while but now his body demanded some extra care that he didn’t feel nearly old enough to give. While he was healthy, Changbin could take care of his little self perfectly fine but being sick and little at the same was too much and he couldn’t help feeling overwhelmed. Besides, how was he supposed to take care of himself while the others were still at home? He couldn’t leave his room to get some water of fetch medicine, at least, not yet.

While Changbin waited for Chan, Hyunjin and Jisung to leave, he sluggishly rolled out of his bed and retrieved his littlegear. Once he’d be alone, he’d fill his sippy with tea. A hot drink would surely soothe his scratchy throat, right? Changbin gave a stuffy cough and shuddered. Why was he so cold? Should he take his blanket along to the kitchen? Maybe he could take his pig plushie along too, it wouldn’t make him feel any warmer but at least he wouldn’t be so heartbreakingly lonely.

When the front door clicked shut, Changbin wrapped his fluffy blanket around his shoulders like a cape and muffled a sneeze into his plushie. Tiredly shuffling his feet, he made his way to the kitchen and almost dropped his sippy cup when he tried to open it. It was like all his strength had left him and it was so difficult to get the lid off. Changbin whimpered as the sound of the kettle aggravated his headache and more than ever, he wished he would’ve told someone about his little side. Someone, who could take care of him when he was struggling to do so himself, just like he was right now. He couldn’t call any of the members and out himself as a little now though because he didn’t feel he had the strength to face a rejection at the moment. Or ever.

By the time the water finally boiled, Changbin’s stance had become a little wobbly and he had to lean against the counter to keep his balance. His hands trembled as he picked up the kettle and poured the water over the tea bag in his sippy. Almost knocking the sippy over, Changbin cried out, tears filling his eyes from the burning sensation across the back of his hand. It stung so badly, he didn’t know what to do, plopping down on the floor as soon as he placed down the kettle. Cradling his burned hand to his chest, the little curled up and sobbed so hard it made him choke.

Having forgotten his phone at the dorm, Jisung rushed back inside, shocked by the harsh coughing coming from the kitchen. He hurriedly rounded the corner, panicking when he found his hyung curled up on the floor. “Hey, what’s going on, hyung?”, Jisung pressed, anxious to figure out how to help. Changbin was in no state to tell the other what to do though, panicking himself from the pain and from being walked in on while in his headspace. Taking Changbin’s hands, Jisung squeezed them and urged: “Deep breaths, hyung. Focus on me and try to match, yeah?” The other ripped his hands from Jisung’s hold, crying out in pain. Changbin was flailing his hands so fast, his friend had no way of spotting his injury.
