Sickie: Seungmin

Caregiver: mainly Felix

No one's POV.:

"Don't you think you should stay home today?", Felix hummed, voice even huskier than usual as he had just woken up. He dropped his spoon into the bowl of cereal and got up from the dining table to check on Seungmin, who had just shuffled out to the kitchen, dressed for a day of schedule. Shaking his head, the younger suppressed a sniffle and claimed: "I'm fine." - "You probably don't want to hear it but you don't look fine", Felix pointed out, taking Seungmin by surprise when he cupped his cheeks. The vocalist pulled away and shrugged: "Looks can be deceiving." - "Yeah, but- You're also running a fever", the Aussie frowned, "Are you going to claim, your temperature can be deceiving?" - "Your hands were cold, so your perception was probably off", Seungmin hummed, scanning the counter while discreetly running the cuff of his sleeve under his nose.

None of his options for breakfast looked appealing at all to Seungmin, probably because his throat ached, but he knew he'd need the energy to get through the day. Defeated, he opted for a fruit smoothie and winced at the sound of the blender. Gosh, why did his head feel like it'd split in half just because there was a normal everyday noise? "What's first today?", he yawned, barely able to avoid an embarrassing voice crack. Pulling out his phone, Felix scanned over their schedule and smiled: "Lucky you. Meeting in the morning, photoshoot around noon and then after lunch, we'll have dance practice for the rest of the day." Seungmin groaned. How was he lucky? There was no way he'd be able to focus during the meeting. He was indeed running a fever, so being cooked under the professional lighting would definitely make it worse. Not to mention dancing. That sounded like hell.

"What? The meeting is chill, you won't have to do much but sit there. You can rest your voice during the photoshoot. Just smile and look pretty as you always do", Felix chuckled, "You won't be participating during dance practice anyway, so since it's last for the day, you'll get home early." - "Why wouldn't I participate?!", Seungmin huffed, forcing down his smoothie. Giving the vocalist an incredulous look, Felix sighed: "You don't really think that Chan will let you once he had a look at you?" The younger wanted to argue back but his nose had started to itch and he had to turn to the side, catching a throaty sneeze in the cuff of his sleeve. "Bless you, is your throat ok-", Felix frowned but got cut off by a second, more forceful sneeze. "Ow", Seungmin sniffled and massaged his throat. When he caught the Aussie's look, he shot him a glare though, warning him not to mention it.

Despite not wanting to let on that he was feeling a bit under the weather, Seungmin still put on a scarf that didn't exactly match with the rest of his outfit. At least it protected his throat and felt soft enough not to irritate his fever-sensitive skin. He had downed something for the headache after he finished his smoothie but so far, it hadn't kicked in and he really prayed it would before the meeting. If only his nose would stop bothering him. "Did you bring tissues?", Felix asked worriedly, watching the vocalist scrub at his face. Glaring at the Aussie with watering eyes, Seungmin groaned: "Of co-ourse. Do you- do you think I'm stu-huh hNXT-uh! H- hNXT heh- hNXT *sniff* Heh'ESHHuh!" - "Bless!", Felix laughed, "You should probably use one then. Stop stifling though. You'll hurt your head."

"You want to what?! No! Most definitely not. What were you thinking?", Chan frowned closely scanning Seungmin. Even to Felix, who had seen the younger this morning, it was obvious that the trip to the company building had been draining already. Seeing Seungmin's face fall, the leader added: "I really think you should've stayed home today. You don't look well at all and dance practice is absolutely out of question." - "But I'm fine, hyung", Seungmin sighed, cursing his voice for ruining his argument by cracking. Chan shook his head: "You're not. I can tell you're running a fever just by looking at your eyes and you never sneeze like this unless you're sick." - "Like what?", the younger pouted, scrubbing at his nose as he hoped it wouldn't betray him. "In fits like you just did when you walked in", Chan sighed, "Really, Seung, take it easy today."
