Sickies/Littles: Minho, Jisung
Caregiver/Sickie: Jeongin
Minho's POV.:
I had barely realized how much the seasons had been changing and before I knew it, it was freezing outside. Usually, I'd be well aware when Christmas was approaching but this year not so much. We had been pretty busy lately, so I hadn't had a chance to shop for Christmas presents yet. Probably, I'd have to resort to ordering online, as I could easily do that while sitting in waiting rooms waiting for the next performance or interview. Considering how much I teased my dongsaengs about the packages frequently arriving to our dorm, I tried o refrain from ordering too much, as I didn't want to get teased back but this time, it was most likely the only option if I wanted all the presents to be there in time for Christmas.
Jisung was the easiest to shop presents for, well for me at least. My dongsaeng and I had something in common, that made us closer than the rest of the members. We were both littles, the only ones in the group so far, which meant we understood each other on a deeper level and could relate to each other easier. It was obvious that I'd get the rapper some new littlegear items. His baby bottle had recently taken on the color of the tea he had poured in there, leaving it weirdly discolored no matter how many times he washed it. Jisung had been heartbroken, so I thought of replacing the bottle for him, maybe get another pacifier and see if I'd stumble across plushies or toys he might like. The other members weren't as easy but I'd figure something out.
I only realized just how dependent I was on delivery, when we had a day off. Most of the group had left the dorms early, most of them wanting to go Christmas shopping or to meet friends. That morning I had woken up to a dull headache and pulled the blanket tighter around myself as I shuddered. I knew it was winter but had my dongsaengs seriously turned off the heating in our dorm? Knowing it wouldn't get better until I adjusted the thermostat, I wrapped the blanket around my shoulders and forced myself out of bed. Huh, the heating seemed to be on but how could it be so cold? If it was going to stay that cold, I better go and have breakfast, so I can settle in with hot tea and multiple blankets to watch my favorite Christmas movies. God knows when I'd next get the chance to.
Jisung's POV.:
It was frustrating, how I had managed to develop a cough the night before we got a day off. Jeongin and I had made plans to go to the mall together, as both of us still needed to buy Christmas presents for our friends. We wouldn't get another opportunity to go out and do our Christmas shopping until the day before Christmas, so it was too risky not to go today. Plus, I didn't want to let my dongsaeng down, so ignoring how tired I was from losing so much sleep last night, I got myself ready to head out.
Hours later, I was actually glad I had made this decision because I now had most of the presents and at least a few inspirations what I could order online for the others. Jeongin and I found a cozy café and hung out sipping hot chocolate for a little while longer before agreeing that it was probably time to go home now. The hot chocolate had worked wonders on my sore throat, which I was grateful for because at this point Jeongin had already pointed out that I was coughing a lot and probably shouldn't be out in the cold weather but I was enjoying myself more than I had initially expected. That only changed when on our way back, the skies opened, pouring cold rain down on both of us. It wasn't even rain but a cruel mix of rain and snow, which combined with the cold winds that had picked up, managed to chill us to the bone. With chattering teeth, we said our goodbyes before rushing to our respective dorms to take a hot bath.
No one's POV.:
After a frustratingly short night, filled with lots of coughing on Jisung's part, Chan had already decided there was no way the rapper would be attending their schedule that day. What the leader hadn't expected, was Minho's text he received in the early morning hours. It was filled with a bunch of typos as the dancer explained how he had developed a fever the previous day, which still hadn't improved, and how he had run into Jeongin in the middle of the night, both of them on their hunt for painkillers. Jeongin had tiredly complained of a headache and told his hyung that despite taking a hot bath after being caught in the rain, he just couldn't seem to get warm. Minho had urged the maknae to take his temperature and sure enough, he wasn't any better than Minho himself. Learning that two members at the other dorm were sick too, Chan collected Jisung and walked him to the other dorm, so he wouldn't have to stay back alone.
