It's funny how Jeongin despised asking for help despite having seven hyungs, more than willing to help him out. Maybe it was because the maknae was fond of his independence and knew if he asked for help once, they would continue to hover over him, waiting of he needed help with anything else. Jeongin appreciated his hyungs for always being there for him but it made him feel guilty. He wasn't that much younger, so why should he not be able to handle himself? His hyungs already had so much on their plates that they shouldn't need to worry about him too. That was why Jeongin had decided he'd be more independent from now on, not asking for help anymore.

Jeongin had managed to stick to that for a few weeks already, while Chan and Hyunjin sometimes jokingly whined how their baby was growing up too fast. The maknae laughed it off but enjoyed knowing that he was doing a great job at being independent as his friends had picked up on it rather quick. To the rest of the group though, it felt more like their youngest was growing distant from them. They couldn't understand the change in Jeongin's behavior as they didn't know the promise he had made to himself. Especially because they had enjoyed helping the maknae out and being there for him. It was their job as Jeongin's hyungs, so they never thought twice about it and they would never not worry about their dongsaeng. Now they worried mostly whether they had done something to upset the younger or had made him feel like he couldn't come to them for help. It was especially tough on Chan, who wished for his dongsaengs to be comfortable around him and to know he'd always be there for them. Did Jeongin not know that anymore or did he really never need anyone?

The group had spent the entire morning in the practice room, learning a new choreography, which Jeongin had been struggling with a lot. Minho had offered him to meet up with him when their schedule was over, so he could teach him the steps but the maknae had turned the offer down, promising he'd practice them tonight but the older wouldn't need to stay back for him. He got this. Though Minho was taken aback at the rejection, he knew Jeongin had been acting like this towards anyone who offered him help lately, so he didn't take it personally and only exchanged a worried look with Chan. He was certain that his dongsaeng would have the steps down in no time with some support but the boy would rather struggle on his own. Sadly, they couldn't stay longer after their practice session because they'd only have a short lunchbreak before splitting up for their individual schedules.

Since they wouldn't spend the afternoon together, the members wanted to at least eat lunch together and went to a small diner only a few streets away from the company building. The mood was light as the members ate and discussed what each of them would be doing for the rest of the afternoon. 3racha would be writing songs at Chan's studio, while Minho and Hyunjin would be working on choreographies together. Felix wouldn't be with the dance-racha this afternoon. He was rapping less and had more singing lines in their more recent songs, so he'd get vocal lessons this afternoon. Similar to Jeongin, who'd start with a short vocal lesson before he'd have the rest of the afternoon to practice by himself, while Seungmin was working on a solo, that he'd be recording soon.

They enjoyed their food, though Jeongin couldn't help but feel like his dish tasted a bit off. He didn't want to ruin the mood by complaining though and quietly finished all of it, feeling surprisingly full afterwards. It hadn't looked like that large of a serving but the moment he placed his chopsticks down, he realized how stuffed he felt. Well, at least he didn't have to dance for the next few hours and could give the food some time to settle before returning to the practice room to try and learn the new choreography by himself. His stomach rumbled loudly, drawing the other members attention. While they looked at Jeongin worriedly, the maknae patted his tummy, which looked as stuffed as it felt and giggled: "I guess I'm pregnant now." The rest of the group looked at him surprised but chuckled at their youngest's antics. "I'm to young to be a grandfather", Chan whined, dramatically dropping his head into his hands. There was some more teasing, especially about the leader's age but Jeongin was wondering why he felt so full. It hadn't been that much food, yet he was so bloated mere minutes after finishing it.
