Changbin's birthday was getting closer and wanting do something special for the group's little, the members thought hard to come up with a way to make the boy's special day memorable. Thinking back to how much the rapper had enjoyed the swimming pool during their Howl in Harmony episode, a day at a pool seemed like the perfect idea. The only difficulty was to get a place to themselves, so Changbin would be able to spend the day in his headspace. He had struggled badly while shooting Howl in Harmony, always on the verge of slipping but not allowed to because they had to shoot their footage. Now he'd get the chance to experience a swimming pool, while in his headspace and with all of his caregivers present. That would certainly make for a memorable birthday celebration. Chan promised he'd arrange something, so they'd get a location, while the rest of the group would be tasked with getting the decoration, food and drinks.

It didn't take Chan long to rent a small place with a swimming pool, they could have to themselves for a day. Minho and Felix took a trip to the mall to buy a few floaties and water guns. They got a giraffe, flamingo and unicorn, along with two watermelon swimming tubes. Since they'd rent the place for the entire day, they wanted to stay late into the evening, so Hyunjin and Jeongin prepared a few fairylights that they wanted to hang in the trees early in the morning before taking Changbin there, so it would look really pretty once the sun went down in the evening. They'd have a picnic with sandwiches and watermelon slices for lunch and a barbeque for dinner. Jisung and Seungmin were tasked with preparing two coolers, one for their drinks and one for their lunch. Chan and Minho would be preparing the meat for their barbeque beforehand and Chan would go and get it from the fridge in their dorm in the evening, so it wouldn't go bad while they were out celebrating.

Although they couldn't be sure that Changbin would slip, the members found it very likely, especially Minho and Felix, who had witnessed the boy get all giddy during their shoot before he'd push his little-side back down and try to be professional. He'd probably need one look at the floaties in the pool to slip into his headspace, which wouldn't be a problem this time. The night before, the members had started to pack a few bags. They had one large sports bag filled with a few inflatable beachballs and towels for everyone, a smaller one with chips and crackers to eat with their sandwiches for lunch and another one with plastic plates, cups and napkins. Changbin had given Chan a confused look when the leader had asked him for his swimming trunks but went to retrieve them. While Chan stuffed them into one of the bags and went on with his evening, Changbin was left to wonder what his friends were up to and ended up laying awake for most of the night, too curious and excited to fall asleep.

They didn't take all their birthday presents with them because Chan had gotten his dongsaeng a new pair of headphones, which should better be kept away from the water. They decided they'd give their friend a few of the presents, the ones meant for his adult-self, at home in the morning and take the ones catering to his little-side with them to the pool, so he could open those after slipping into his headspace. Along with the headphones from Chan, Changbin got a painting from Hyunjin and a cake from Felix, which they'd eat for breakfast at their dorm because it was way too warm outside for the chocolate and cream it was decorated with. The other members had mainly gotten him more littlegear. Minho's gift were popsicle molds, so he'd be able to make his own popsicles, and Jisung had gotten him a new straw cup to drink his favorite juice from. Seungmin chose a star-projector for Changbin because his old nightlight wasn't working reliably anymore and the little easily got scared if he woke up to darkness, while Jeongin got him a new onesie made from thinner material. The onesie Changbin owned was really cute and everything but it was fluffy and way too warm to be worn in summer, which often left him either frustrated that he couldn't wear it or overheated and sweaty because he insisted to wear it anyway.
