It fucking reeked from your position within the swarm of underlings as you reclined on your bike. There were about forty of you Black Dragons with Koko and Inui outside Taiju's house. He had left to the convenience store before you were all going to hold a quick meeting to discuss where these forty grunts were going.
The average Black Dragon foot soldier wore the same uniform white coat, but shorter than yours and the captains that draped to their knees. This unit had the arm bands for 'Killer Squad' and they were as violent as the bands implied.
You watched Inui's crew mill around, having conversations and just having an all around good time. Good. You hated how stiff they could be sometimes when Taiju was here. Their military rest irked you, like, these were a bunch of fifteen year olds. The discipline was necessary, but it was a bit excessive, only enforced to stroke Taiju's ego.
She eyed Inui who nodded back, it was the signal that Hakkai was in range... except the info was a bit off so he held up two fingers, which had your eyebrow raising.
It was even more shocking to see the same person who was at the Bloody Halloween who wasn't there in the past before...
You were supposed to just make sure Hakkai and Yuzuha weren't beaten too bad, now there were two more people...
You were suspicious of the blond kid...
You leaned a bit further on your bike with the utmost serenity, unwilling to let this shake you.
"Well, well, well."
Koko spread his arms theatrically, his improv impeccable. His poker face was just as good as Inui's, considering he was constantly smiling. Koko had a certain swash about him that you deeply appreciated.
"If it isn't our young master, Hakkai!!"
"Koko," Hakkai said dispassionately, face neutral.
Koko turned his attention to the other two, looking down on then, "Who the hell are you two?"
You watched from a distance as the blond kid 'Takemitchy' stood more solidly in front of a cute pink haired girl.
"I've seen him before," a grunt answered, Koko looking at him over the shoulder, "He's Toman's first division captain, Hanagaki."
You watched Koko chuckle, "Toman, huh?" He then cracked his knuckles, "The fuck you doing on our turf? You trying to start something?!"
Hanagaki just looked stunned while Hakkai and Yuzuha stepped forward to try and give them a chance to retreat, you assume.
Koko took a breath, "This whole zone is Black Dragon's territory. If any other gangs come knocking the boss instructed us to kill them." Koko finished and you couldn't help but want to help the kid out.
He looked like he was ready to die if it came down to it, which you knew would be detrimental to your plans considering Mikey probably likes his own first division captain.
Inui looked back at you for direction and you shook your head no.
Your best friend stepped forward to speak on your behalf, "Leave, Hanagaki-san," Said guys eyes widened along with Hakkai's, "[y/n]-kun is letting you go in the spirit of Mikey-kun returning Rokuta without hassle."
You knew this was the right thing to do. You wanted to foster further good will with Mikey and Toman, beating up (killing) Takemitchy wouldn't help in that at all.
Even if you were growing further suspicious of the guy... a guy who was never in a single memory of yours was now in the middle of pivotal moments of delinquent history? No this was too big to be just a coincidence.
