First Timeline. 2010. Minato Ward Warehouse Docks.

This was supposed to be a simple in and out hit job. Kill the middle man, plant the evidence of the rival gang, dip out.

Of course it wouldn't be that simple.

At first you didn't know how to feel about Hanma Shuji, but after being left to die for his entertainment on this joint mission you hated him.

You wished Inui had been there instead. He would have checked the door for you. He would have cracked the mirror aimed at the camera. He wouldn't have disappeared the second you opened the door.

You were pissed.

Hanma not a team player? Wow, you were totally shocked...

Hanma had always been slimy. He always treated things like games, as if nothing mattered, like he was this pro gamer, camping at the beginner areas.

Analogy aside, the fact was he ditched you the second you entered the room, which sucked because you had false information.

You weren't sure if Kisaki was testing you, getting rid of you, or if this was a genuine series of unfortunate events.

It was hard to weigh one against the other.

Safe to say, you had been seen immediately, a bullet missing your head by a hair's breath.

You slid behind a forklift and counted bullets.

.

.

.

Twelve. There were twelve shooters.

You screwed in the silencer, your hands moving quickly. Your adrenaline had your hands steady, your racing heart didn't effect your coordination as a battle calm took over. The fact this wasn't nearly your first fire fight had you level headed.

You aimed the gun over your shoulder and shot twice blindly, then rolled to the other side of the fork lift, aiming for a head that was turned towards the wrong end of your cover.

POP. Blood sprayed over the wall as a limp hand fell from cover.

Eleven.

"Over here!" One yelled, the top of his head was over his cover.

POP. The bullet scalped him. The enemy screamed, the sound of his gun dropping and then his body falling.

Ten.

"Shit!!"

"Who the fuck is it?! Who's shooting at us?!"

The now identified 'dock worker' who was your primary target was in your sights.

"If I don't get eyes on them now--"

His head exploded, the spray misting over the guy next to him. His eyes widened in horror before his throat was ripped through, the man behind him catching that bullet in his chest.

Seven.

You dove from your cover to a stack of metal shipping crates, reloading as bullets chased after you.

"It's a girl!"

"I don't care if it's a fucking Miko! Kill her!!"

The gun fire was long this time. There was a certain kick to it that gave away one semi automatic pistol.

When the shooting stopped you blindly shot over the crates, blasting wild six times.

You pulled the gun down, reloading and sneaking to the end of the containers. You quietly crawled along the edge of a short stack of plastic bins... where you came face to face with a man, his eyes were wide, but you were quicker than his scream.
